01Two-hour cooking class by the beach — learn traditional Al Pastor techniques, then relax with secure lockers and Wi-Fi before exploring Mahahual.
“The cooking class was an engaging experience suitable for couples, families, or solo participants. Everyone prepared their own appetizers and main courses, with choices of pork, chicken, or vegetarian options. The instruction was outstanding, offering tips to tailor flavors to individual tastes. The restaurant maintained a clean and pleasant environment, showing a strong commitment to hygiene, including proper cleaning and glove use for handling raw meat. The group size allowed for interaction with fellow participants and the restaurant’s owner and staff. I highly recommend it.”— Cynthia_V
02A full day trip from Costa Maya, featuring Chacchoben ruins and Bacalar lagoon with lunch and leisure time included.
“The tour guides were excellent, particularly Joel, who brought a rich background as a local and of Mayan descent. His personal stories enhanced the experience. We enjoyed a lovely lunch by the lagoon with delicious tacos in a scenic setting, and we even had the chance to kayak for a while.”— Noelle
03Five hours of relaxation at Mahahual beach — unlimited open bar, beach access, and use of water sports equipment.
“This was an excellent last-minute reservation for us as a couple. We enjoyed massages, delicious drinks, and unique souvenirs from local vendors. Our server Angel was fantastic, always providing fresh drinks as soon as we returned from the beach.”— Sydney_T

“Raphael guided us on an excellent tour of the Mayan ruins. He offered cold drinks and snacks and was both professional and knowledgeable. We also stopped at a fruit stand for the best pineapple and a salsa stand, where I bought some bottles for myself and others. This excursion was a highlight of our MSC cruise.”— Alex_L
05A full-day private tour — visit Chacchoben village, interact with a local Mayan family, and unwind at the Seven Color Lagoon, just one hour from the port.
“This excursion is a must-do if you want an engaging and educational experience. Eliot is by far the most knowledgeable tour guide I've encountered in my 20 years of cruising. My husband, teenage sons, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day. The food was outstanding, and the lagoon provided a calming atmosphere. Overall, it was an excellent experience that I highly recommend.”— 116dkt

07Four hours guided tour visiting Chacchoben Ruins and a local Mayan village, including a traditional lunch prepared by residents.
“We had a wonderful time on the Mayan Experience tour with Eddar. The meeting point was straightforward to locate. This was my son's highlight of the cruise. Our small group of 14 arrived at Chacchoben before the cruise excursions, allowing us to explore the site without the crowds. We also appreciated the tasty Mayan lunch. Overall, it was a great glimpse into the culture, and I strongly recommend this excursion.”— squeekcar

09Half-day tour with an English-speaking guide — explore Chacchoben Mayan ruins, then head to Bacalar lagoon to see Cenote Esmeralda and the Pirate Channel.
“We had an amazing experience! Our cruise ship arrived late, which led to the cancellation of the first part of our excursion. However, visiting the Seven Colors lagoon was incredible. Our guide was excellent, sharing extensive knowledge about the region. One participant joined this tour specifically to see the stromatolites, the oldest living organisms on Earth, which are thriving in this location. Overall, it was a wonderful excursion.”— John_A
10Three hours by boat covers Cenote Esmeralda, Cenote Cocalitos, Black Cenote, and the Pirate Channel, showcasing the stunning shades of blue of Bacalar Lagoon.
“Adan was an outstanding guide who made our day incredibly enjoyable. The water was stunning and surpassed our expectations, being the most beautiful we have experienced. The journey took about an hour and ten minutes, but it flew by, and we had a fantastic time with a small group of just eight people. We traveled in a comfortable and nice van. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an alternative to a beach day in Costa Maya. The fish and shrimp tacos at the end were also delicious. This was a wonderful experience.”— Jenna_T
11Four-hour private fishing trip off Mahahual — target species include mahi mahi and barracuda with experienced crew aboard the Goddess of the Sea.
“Captain Axel and his crew were truly exceptional. After a thorough safety briefing, they quickly set lines as we left the reef. Using rigged ballyhoo and large lures, we caught barracuda right away. They handled the fish we wanted to keep humanely and released the rest. I also managed to catch a massive kingfish, a personal first. The equipment was top-notch, the beers were cold, and everyone was in good spirits. As a professional fisherman, I wholeheartedly recommend La Diosa Del Mar. When we returned, our fresh catch was cooked for us at a restaurant nearby for a small fee, while we enjoyed the view of the Caribbean Sea. Thank you, Captain Axel.”— Matt Y
12Three hours of snorkeling along the Great Mesoamerican Reef with equipment, snacks, and a certified guide providing underwater photos included.
“Excellent snorkeling locations and overall experience. The staff was friendly, and the addition of guacamole and chips was a nice touch. The mango was also delicious.”— Shawn_F
