I was truly impressed by this experience and the wonderful staff. Although I was initially anxious about scuba diving, I would willingly do it again countless times. From start to finish, everyone was incredibly friendly and patient while we grasped the essentials. Our guide stayed close throughout the dive, ensuring we felt safe and comfortable. The dive was stunning, even at just 30 feet deep, right off the coast of the dive shop. We encountered beautiful coral, schools of fish, and even stingrays. I would give this 100 stars if possible. My girlfriend and I will definitely return. I can't express enough how fantastic everyone was and how breathtaking the dive was. If you're having doubts, just go ahead and book it; you certainly won't regret it.

I had a fantastic discovery scuba experience with Brenda, who made the trip incredibly personal and relaxing as I was the only guest. She demonstrated professionalism and patience, clearly explaining everything and ensuring I felt comfortable and confident throughout. Brenda customized the experience perfectly for me, making my time underwater truly enjoyable. This was my second trip with Mar Adentro, and I highly recommend it.
This experience was an excellent introduction to scuba diving. Brenda, our instructor, had a relaxed demeanor that made me feel comfortable asking questions. Her consistent use of hand gestures helped clarify everything. She did a wonderful job highlighting the wildlife and encouraged us to descend at our own speed. I really wished I could stay longer to complete a full certification. It was truly incredible.
The reef is stunning and the team is excellent. A special mention to Étienne for taking the time to provide the briefing again in French. I highly recommend this diving center.
The entire team provided an incredible experience for my birthday. Instructor Brenda ensured I felt safe and explained everything thoroughly. The staff was consistently attentive and very friendly. They made my celebration even more special by surprising me with a cake and singing for me. I would certainly come back for my certification and highly recommend them.
I arranged this excursion for my son-in-law, who was already nervous about scuba diving. My daughter and I are certified divers and believed he would enjoy it. However, after two leaking regulators, they provided a third, which he struggled with as a beginner. He didn't realize it was a problem until we returned to the ship, mentioning it was painful to breathe. Even hours later, he was still experiencing chest discomfort. I'm very let down, as this should have been a fantastic experience, but instead, it left him with a negative view of diving.

We booked the PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience with Mar Adentro Majahual in Costa Maya during our cruise with MSC. As complete novices to scuba diving, this was an ideal introduction for my wife and me. The entire experience lasted about 1.5 to 2 hours, split between the pavilion, shallow water, and the reef. It began with a medical questionnaire and safety release forms, followed by a 10-minute safety video. Then we met our instructor, Brenda, who equipped us with masks, fins, weight belts, and tank harnesses. She meticulously explained how to wear each piece of gear, demonstrating the primary and backup regulators, tank gauge, and buoyancy vest. Brenda spent a good half-hour ensuring we understood everything, teaching us vital skills like clearing masks, recovering lost regulators, and using essential hand signals underwater. Her patient demeanor made us feel at ease. Once we were ready, the staff transported our equipment to the water's edge, so we didn't have to carry it. In the water, we first practiced breathing with the regulator and clearing our masks in shallow depths. Thanks to Brenda's careful guidance, we felt confident and secure. Afterward, we boarded the boat to our dive location at the reef, assisted by the captain and another staff member. Brenda showed us a fish identification flip book to get us familiar with what we might see. Once at the dive site, she taught us how to flip off the boat and guided us down to about 33 feet. During our 34 minutes of exploring, we observed a variety of vibrant fish and coral, including puffer fish, lion fish, and parrot fish. It was tranquil and beautiful underwater. When it was time to surface, Brenda sent up a signal flag and we ascended slowly, fully inflating our buoyancy vests at the surface. The return trip included delicious sliced pineapple offered by the team. Overall, our experience was extraordinary. The reef exploration was delightful, and the scuba training was engaging. All staff members were courteous and attentive, with Brenda standing out for her competence and friendliness. We felt safe and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I highly recommend Mar Adentro and their introductory scuba course. My wife and I are considering pursuing open water dive certification after this wonderful experience.
