The tour of the Bacalar 7 Colors Lagoon was an exceptional and enjoyable experience for our family. We met our guide Adan near the port and were promptly seated in an air-conditioned van, provided with cold water. The hour-long drive went by quickly as Adan shared fascinating history about the region and its geography. We made a food stop at El Tacos Locos in Bacalar, where the fried shrimp tacos were outstanding. Afterward, we boarded a pontoon boat and explored three cenotes and the microbiolitos, the oldest living organisms on Earth, which was truly fascinating. We then had the chance to swim in the lagoon, enjoying drinks and fresh fruit while soaking up the sun. On the return trip to the port, our guide, the van driver, and the boat captain were all excellent. A wonderful mix of history, fun, delicious food, and breathtaking scenery!
Leo, our guide, Poyo, our driver, and Captain Mario were all fantastic in their own ways, providing great service and warmth throughout the tequila experience. After an hour's drive, we enjoyed two hours on Mario's boat exploring the stunningly colored lagoon, with swimming and tequila tasting. The meal we had afterward was superb, and the atmosphere was delightful. The fresh fruit tasting, served while we were in the lagoon, was particularly enjoyable. Thank you, Mario, Leo, and Poyo, for such a warm experience.
We chose Chak Ek Costa Maya for my birthday excursion, and it became one of the highlights of our trip. After disembarking, it was a quick walk to meet our guide, Rafael, who was waiting with a sign. We then enjoyed a comfortable hour-long ride to Bacalar, during which Rafael shared intriguing historical insights that made the journey fly by. Only two other people joined us, creating an intimate atmosphere. Rafael even stopped at a local fruit stand to get us fresh fruit, which was a lovely gesture. In Bacalar, we boarded a boat and explored the breathtaking lagoon and cenotes while Rafael enlightened us about the area's history, from the Mayans to pirates. We anchored in a stunning spot where the water's clarity resembled a swimming pool. Rafael treated us to fresh mango and pineapple while we swam—a level of service that truly impressed us. After around 45 minutes of relaxation, we returned to the van for lunch. Our preordered meals were hot and ready upon arrival—another detail that contributed to a smooth day. Following lunch, Rafael returned us to the cruise port with ample time for shopping and exploration before boarding. This was an exceptional way to celebrate my birthday. I highly recommend Chak Ek Costa Maya and Rafael for an effortless and memorable experience.
Adan was an outstanding guide who made our day incredibly enjoyable. The water was stunning and surpassed our expectations, being the most beautiful we have experienced. The journey took about an hour and ten minutes, but it flew by, and we had a fantastic time with a small group of just eight people. We traveled in a comfortable and nice van. I would wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone seeking an alternative to a beach day in Costa Maya. The fish and shrimp tacos at the end were also delicious. This was a wonderful experience.
Francisco served as an excellent guide, offering valuable insights while being courteous. I highly recommend this excursion for anyone looking to enjoy the stunning Bacalar lagoon. The boat ride and lunch were truly delightful.
Our experience with guide Juan Corona and driver Andreas was exceptional. They greeted us outside the dock and took our group of four to the stunning Bacalar Lagoon. We boarded a small boat for a tour of the lagoon, where the water's vibrant colors and clarity were breathtaking. We explored three cenotes and enjoyed a refreshing swim in the waist-deep water. Juan and Andreas treated us to delicious honey pineapple and mangoes with tahini, along with beer and tequila shots. Afterward, we visited a fantastic local restaurant for amazing tacos and fajitas. Juan was accommodating and very knowledgeable about the region.
This past week, my husband, our two teenagers, and I had an incredible experience. Our guide, Juan, was not only friendly but also very knowledgeable, making us feel right at home. Together with the boat captain, he led us on a wonderful tour, and the swimming was truly delightful. They provided ample drinks and snacks, even stopping to get us fresh pineapple and mango to enjoy. We are definitely looking forward to doing this again on our next visit.
The Blue Lagoon tour was an incredibly beautiful experience. Our guide Adan was exceptional, engaging us in meaningful conversations about Mexico's culture, history, and the stunning lagoon formations. Eric, our driver, did a great job, and Francisco, the boat operator, provided an excellent ride to the pirate fort. The facilities were comfortable and easy to navigate. The boat was impressive, equipped with a wide range of drinks and snacks. The tour allowed us to explore key areas of the lagoon, showcasing magnificent colors and depths. Swimming in the warm, pristine water was a highlight, and we enjoyed fresh pineapple and mangoes served right in the water. Lunch at a local taco spot was friendly and the food was both fresh and delicious. This Blue Lagoon tour with Adan is definitely a must-add to your bucket list.
The guides were incredible, and the overall experience was unforgettable. The surroundings were stunning, and the friendliness of everyone made it even better. The trip there was quick, making it a fantastic outing.
