Excellent snorkeling locations and overall experience. The staff was friendly, and the addition of guacamole and chips was a nice touch. The mango was also delicious.
I had a wonderful experience in Costa Maya. We spotted a sea turtle and were provided with all the snorkeling gear we required. Snacks and drinks were available as promised, and the homemade guacamole was excellent and fresh. I felt safe throughout the trip.
The small boat, which accommodated eight people, was not suitable for the rough sea conditions. The first snorkeling site had little marine life, and I felt too close to the coral in the choppy water. At the second spot, there was plenty of sea life, but it was crowded with other boats and tourists. We lost sight of our guide in the rough waters and struggled to find our boat. The life buoy carried by our guide looked just like all the other guides' buoys; it would help if they were marked with a flag. Additionally, providing guests with bottled water would be better, as drinking from a jug in Mexico didn’t seem like a good idea.
Incredibly accommodating with a sincere effort for everyone to enjoy a memorable experience. This will now be our benchmark for future tours.
I want to highlight the unavoidable Sargassum seaweed that affected our excursion, but it did not detract from the experience at all. A cold front the day before changed the water's color and displaced some marine life, but again, these factors are simply out of anyone's control. Initially, we had to cancel our beach day due to the seaweed and were worried about ruining our trip until I found this company’s three-hour snorkel tour. The owner quickly helped us set everything up via message. We took a quick, affordable cab ride to their location, which was easy to navigate. Costa Maya has a rough appearance, but our cab dropped us right at the hotel, and we were escorted to the beach. Vendors were indeed pushy but not aggressive, all trying to make their living. I met with the owner at a booth who spoke perfect English, and we waited about 15 minutes for another group to finish. We ended up with a total of eight people, as they split their 1.5-hour tour with our three-hour tour. Our guides, Zack and Jesus, made the experience special. Zack was incredibly funny and engaging, providing excellent safety instructions while keeping the atmosphere light-hearted. Jesus, who didn’t speak English, was the snorkel guide, looking like a confident captain at the front of the boat. He took us snorkeling for an hour, showcasing beautiful marine life and coral formations. Afterward, Zack offered beer, water, and fresh avocado on the way back, which was fantastic. We explored another snorkeling area, hoping to see turtles and rays, but the cold front had affected the marine life. Nonetheless, we had an amazing time. Huge thanks to Zack and Jesus for making a potentially disappointing day into an unforgettable family experience. Remember to tip your guides! I have shared some photos from the trip but don’t want to spoil the surprises for everyone. Be sure to request Zack and Jesus as your guides—they were wonderful! Jesus also took photos while we snorkeled, at no extra charge.
My wife and I had an unforgettable snorkeling adventure during an excursion from our Royal Caribbean cruise. After walking through the port and past the gate, we found the waiting taxis. Upon showing my booking details, the drivers knew exactly where to take us, and the Eco tour staff greeted us right when we arrived. The snorkeling was spectacular. The team was highly knowledgeable, and our guide Gabby was exceptional. He introduced us to a variety of wildlife, including barracuda, rays, and a sea turtle. The staff was very accommodating and ensured we returned on time for our ship’s departure since our day was limited. This experience was a highlight, and the beauty of the location will stay with me forever. I highly recommend booking with this provider. I often feel anxious about choosing independent tours while cruising, but this option was, in some respects, simpler than the excursions offered by Royal Caribbean.
We really enjoyed this snorkeling tour. We chose it to save money and explore on our own rather than through the cruise provider. We received clear instructions for the meeting point, and a taxi took us there. Our group consisted of five, and both the boat captain, Zack, and snorkel guide, Jesus, were very friendly and eager to make our experience enjoyable. Although the waters were slightly rough, we spotted many fish and stunning coral. At the second location, we had a close encounter with a sea turtle. The handmade guacamole and drinks were very refreshing. If we return, we will likely book this again. Highly recommend this tour.
Zach and Jose made our experience unforgettable. Jose showed us incredible sights while snorkeling that we had never encountered. Zach, as our captain, did an excellent job explaining everything we saw. I would absolutely do this again.
Our private snorkeling trip in Costa Maya was one of the highlights of our cruise. Brianna was fantastic — calm, friendly, and focused on our safety and comfort while ensuring we had an amazing time. She guided us to several snorkeling locations, revealing breathtaking marine life and gorgeous coral. It's clear she has a deep passion for her work and genuinely wants her guests to enjoy their experience. The drinks and snacks, especially the fresh chips and guacamole from the captain, were a wonderful bonus. Experiencing the world’s second-largest reef is essential when in Costa Maya, and this family-run business makes it feel special and personal. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
Snorkeling with Zach and Jose was an incredible experience. Both were fantastic guides—Zach brought fun and knowledge, while Jose ensured we didn't miss anything. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and the photos were fantastic. The price for this experience is amazing. This company is excellent, and I’d absolutely participate again.
