1Five hours of tubing through ancient Maya caves after a short hike, with a scenic 100-mile drive from Placencia.
“Amazing tour with well-informed staff.”— B4617OFterrys
2Full-day guided trip — two-hour drive to Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve, cave climbing, swimming, and exploring Maya artifacts.
“The pickup was at 6:30, followed by a 2-hour drive where we met our guide, Francisco. He was dedicated to ensuring everyone had a fantastic experience and shared a wealth of information about the local bugs, plants, and Mayan history. Francisco encouraged questions and was honest about any limitations in his answers, all while maintaining a friendly attitude to make everyone feel welcome. He ensured we had ample time to explore the caves without feeling rushed by other tourists. The homemade lunch he provided was some of the best local food I've tasted. The caves are fascinating due to their historical and cultural importance, but it was Francisco who truly made our visit unforgettable. I was pleasantly surprised by the flat and easy hike to the cave, which had minimal bugs. The warnings about river crossings were helpful, especially given the water levels. There were sections where swimming was the only way to navigate. If I could change one thing, it would be to have brought towels and spare clothes, as there’s nowhere to find them after swimming. The damp clothing made the ride back a bit uncomfortable, but overall, it was an amazing experience. We returned to our hotel around 6 that evening, so be prepared for a full day out.”— 279elisap
3A full-day tour — explore Xunantunich Mayan ruins and cave tubing at Jaguar Paw, including lunch and a knowledgeable guide throughout.
“Victor was an outstanding guide with extensive knowledge of Mayan history and culture, and it's evident he takes great pride in his country and heritage. The lunch was delightful. He ensured that everyone was safe, content, and enjoying themselves throughout the day. I highly recommend choosing him if possible. The only drawback was the considerable driving time while traveling around Belize, so be prepared for a lengthy day.”— Nellie_W
4Full-day guided hike through Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary with inner tubing on South Stann Creek, showcasing diverse wildlife and stunning landscapes.
“We had a fantastic time exploring Cockscomb Wildlife Preserve with Edgar. He picked us up promptly in Hopkins Village and provided engaging insights during our short drive to the preserve. Choosing to hike before tubing was the best decision, as the trails were serene and full of wildlife. After enjoying a refreshing swim in a stunning waterfall pool, we floated down the river in tubes, taking in the lovely jungle scenery. Following our adventures, we savored a Mayan lunch that was the highlight of our meals during the trip. Huge thanks to Edgar for an unforgettable day; these memories will stay with us forever.”— Leslie V
5A full-day snorkeling trip from Placencia — swim with nurse sharks and turtles, lunch included on Moho Caye.
“Captain Nick and Carlos were fantastic! The snorkeling experience was incredible, and Moho Caye was beyond belief. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Captain Jak's.”— awalters5
6Half-day adventure featuring cave tubing and zipline through Belize’s lush canopy at Jaguar Paw.
“Experiencing the natural wonders of Belize was truly magical. We began by climbing to the rainforest canopy and then enjoyed seven zip lines, the final one crossing a river. The beautiful trees and flowers surrounded us, and our guides, Victor and Kelvin, ensured our safety and comfort. After a brief drive, we went cave tubing, where Eric provided detailed explanations about the unique tree species on our 25-minute hike, as well as the ancient Mayan rituals associated with the caves. Even with other visitors at the tubing site, we felt completely alone in the serene cave system. It was a refreshing, relaxing, and memorable experience. My children had a great time and gained a lot of knowledge. We even spotted a family of coatimundi on our way back.”— Betsy R
7Hassle-free transfer to Belize Airport BZE or Belize City in modern vehicles with experienced drivers.
“Juliane was quick to respond and provided us with a highly competitive quote, including a discount for multiple transfers. We took a round trip from Belize airport to Placencia. The shuttles were punctual, the drivers were excellent and very accommodating, and the vehicles were well-maintained with great air conditioning. We'll definitely use their services again. Thank you.”— roozbehr2014
8Two hours on a boat and guided rainforest hike — spot crocodiles, howler monkeys, and end with manatee watching on the return journey to Placencia.
“The bird and wildlife sightings were exceptional, including howler monkeys, manatees, herons, and ibises. Your country is truly beautiful.”— S4012VJcynthial
9Three hours of snorkelling in Laughing Bird Caye's waters — guided exploration of marine life, followed by a local lunch and time to relax on the beach.
“We enjoyed an outstanding half-day excursion to Laughing Bird Caye. Get ready for extensive snorkeling, as you'll swim a good distance around the Caye. I've never encountered so much marine life on a snorkeling trip before. Additionally, we rented a golf cart from them, which was very convenient as they delivered it to our VRBO and handled the pickup.”— RussU2525
10Full-day tour from Placencia to Cockscomb Basin — hiking, river tubing, and swimming at a waterfall included.
“Booking this tour was one of the best decisions we made, especially with Ian as our guide. It truly became the highlight of our week in Belize. The Tiger Fern Trail and waterfalls offered breathtaking views and a memorable experience. Ian was an excellent guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. He accommodated our last-minute changes, allowing us to undertake a more challenging hike instead of rafting. His humor and the fantastic lunch he organized made the day even better. Barefoot Services was also very flexible with our travel plans, allowing us to schedule a full-day tour just a day in advance. They contacted us directly to confirm our pickup location and were quick to respond to any emails or phone inquiries we had regarding our reservation changes.”— haileyraer
