2Four hours by private vehicle — explore Skagway's history, breathtaking landscapes, and cross into Canada, with a visit to the Yukon Suspension Bridge included.
“When I discovered Thomas was recommended on Facebook and later on TripAdvisor, I knew his tour was perfect for my Birthday celebration. I prefer private tours over crowded ones. Communicating via WhatsApp was effortless, and Thomas was very quick to respond. He met us at an easy-to-find spot after we disembarked from the boat, and our adventure began. During our six-hour experience, I enjoyed exploring the Yukon and crossed into Canada for the first time. We saw beautiful lakes, a stunning beach, mountain goats, and plenty of bear poop. Thomas was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, always ready to stop for photos. He had a great sense of humor that made the time fly. I even faced my fear of heights by walking across a suspension bridge, which was amazing. This day was undoubtedly the highlight of my cruise and a Birthday to remember. The scenery was truly magical. If you're looking for stunning landscapes with a professional guide, book Thomas right away. You'll have a much more enjoyable experience than being on a train among other tourists looking at trees. Thank you, Thomas, for being an excellent host and creating unforgettable memories! Looking forward to the next time.”— TeddingtonAudiTT
3Four hours by boat — cruise through Lynn Canal, see waterfalls and wildlife, with a stop at a glacial harbor and local smoked salmon tasting.
“The crew was fantastic—fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. We witnessed stunning waterfalls, a few baby bald eagles, white goats, and sea otters. It was a wonderful day overall.”— Catherine_P
4Approximately 4-5 hours, guided van tour from Skagway to Yukon, including a sled dog cart ride and time with puppies at a remote camp.
“Trey was fantastic during the dog sled training camp trip! His entertaining approach, along with the valuable information he shared, really enhanced the experience. Plus, we even spotted a bear!”— BoardingPass581001
5Six hours by tour van — explore Skagway, visit a remote dog sled camp, and cross into Yukon for stunning views and wildlife opportunities.
“I have to say, Trey was fantastic! His stories were both entertaining and informative, and we were really happy to have him as our guide throughout the day. We were a small group of eight—just our family and another family. Trey kept us well-informed about our itinerary and what was coming next. Initially, I had some concerns about the bus ride through the mountains, but it turned out to be an incredible experience with stunning views. Trey also took some great photos for us. The only downside was the puppy experience; I had expected to see puppies in a mushing scenario, but they were just cute and cuddly, and we enjoyed the cuddles. Thank you for a wonderful day, Trey!”— robinwZ2332DN
6Three hours, 18 miles on a scooter — explore Skagway's coastline and history with stops for photos and potential wildlife sightings.
“This activity takes you on genuine roads frequented by larger vehicles. It's important to be confident in your driving skills and adhere to traffic regulations. Our guide offered great insights on operating the motorbike, including signaling and braking techniques. We navigated routes that unveiled stunning and remarkable sights. I'm really pleased I opted for this unique tour.”— Pamela_H
7Full-day tour by bus — visit Carcross, Emerald Lake, and more plus extensive photo stops throughout the Yukon and British Columbia.
“Pam was fantastic! It's unfortunate that we missed Bailey, but Pam shared wonderful stories, and our trip was really enjoyable. We even spotted two bears.”— Jennifer_F
8Four hours exploring Skagway, with history stops and a visit to a remote sled dog camp to play with husky puppies.

9Half-day tour featuring the Yukon Suspension Bridge, Skagway history, and scenic views of the Boreal forest and Tormented Valley.
“We booked a tour and arrived at 8 am, only to find out it was canceled because they weren’t making enough money. They failed to contact us about the cancellation. Instead, they suggested alternative tours we weren’t interested in. This left us scrambling for last-minute options during our valuable port time, and we ended up renting from a company they owned at an outrageous price. It turned out to be a better choice to explore the Yukon on our own instead of going with this unreliable operator. They promised a refund, but did not process it, and when we disputed the charge, they claimed we had taken the tour. After more than three months of effort, we finally received our refund, but it wasn’t worth the hassle. I strongly advise looking into other options before considering this company.”— mandyd190
10A 60-minute boat ride plus a 1/4-mile trek leads to canoeing at Davidson Glacier, watch for wildlife along the way.
“We chose this expedition over a train ride to better engage with Alaska, and it was an excellent decision. My husband, our three kids (ages 9-14), and I all enjoyed it immensely. The hour-long boat ride featured a friendly and knowledgeable naturalist who shared insights about the land, water, and wildlife, including seeing many cute seals on the shores and bald eagles soaring above. While we didn't spot any whales or otters, we truly appreciated the stunning scenery. After reaching the beach, we took a short ride in an old school bus, where three enthusiastic guides helped us don rain gear and boots. They regularly reside on the island with limited comforts and each led a canoe carrying about ten individuals. We canoed to another location, explored a small rapids area, and then paddled to the glacier. The guides deemed it safe for us to beach the canoes and walk towards the glacier, which was breathtaking with its vivid blues. This experience was highly worthwhile, enhancing our Alaska adventure. I recommend booking with Alaska X rather than through the cruise line for a less crowded and likely more affordable option.”— Beth_C
