We booked a tour and arrived at 8 am, only to find out it was canceled because they weren’t making enough money. They failed to contact us about the cancellation. Instead, they suggested alternative tours we weren’t interested in. This left us scrambling for last-minute options during our valuable port time, and we ended up renting from a company they owned at an outrageous price. It turned out to be a better choice to explore the Yukon on our own instead of going with this unreliable operator. They promised a refund, but did not process it, and when we disputed the charge, they claimed we had taken the tour. After more than three months of effort, we finally received our refund, but it wasn’t worth the hassle. I strongly advise looking into other options before considering this company.
The trip was fantastic, featuring an excellent narrator and stunning views along with informative insights into the gold rush period. It was definitely a worthwhile experience for both time and money, and the scenery was truly breathtaking.
Clay, our bus driver, was an outstanding guide filled with knowledge. Originally from North Carolina, he was working for the season but had a deep understanding of the landscape. We made convenient stops at various scenic spots and ventured into the Canadian side of the Yukon Peninsula to view the suspension bridge. Clay also took us to Bryant Lake, which wasn't initially on the agenda, but we were ahead of schedule. He offered to take photos of everyone at the Welcome to Alaska sign and even returned to a spot where a moose had been sighted so that all could catch a glimpse. Overall, the experience was fantastic.
Garrett, our driver and tour guide, was fantastic and shared an impressive amount of knowledge. The scenery was breathtaking and incredibly captivating. I would definitely recommend this experience.
This was the best tour of our entire trip. Southeast Tours offers an amazing experience, and our guide and driver, Kenton Gilmartin, stands out with his exceptional personality. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and readily answers questions while allowing ample time for stops and photos. Choose Kenton for an unforgettable experience in Skagway. Eileen E. & Mary C. (Florida)
The half-day trip to Yukon was wonderful. The drive was beautiful, leading to the suspension bridge, and despite some low clouds at 2,500 feet, it was a stunning day. The bridge and the views were incredible.
The area beyond Skagway is filled with stunning landscapes and beautiful waterfalls. My perspective of the region shifted after only walking through town. To experience breathtaking views, I highly recommend joining Dana on this tour.
This was an incredible half-day trip. Clay proved to be an excellent guide. The scenery was stunning, and we gained a lot of knowledge about the area as well.
This experience was incredible! I'm really pleased we participated, and our driver was helpful, friendly, and well-informed. The views were stunning, and we still had a great time despite the rain.
This excursion ranks among the best we've experienced. Our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. We made numerous stops on our way to the Yukon, making it a truly memorable adventure that was definitely worth the cost.
