Heritage walks, museum days, temple complexes, and the kind of guides who explain why a place matters rather than reciting dates. The cultural side of Skagway, paced for actual seeing.
1Full-day tour including a scenic train ride and 6-8 miles of hiking from the White Pass to Laughton Glacier, through Tongass National Forest.
“This was an exceptional experience. Austin, our guide, is incredibly knowledgeable and shared an abundance of insights. The views were quite impressive as well.”— jordanhJ9992VL
2Four hours by private vehicle — explore Skagway's history, breathtaking landscapes, and cross into Canada, with a visit to the Yukon Suspension Bridge included.
“When I discovered Thomas was recommended on Facebook and later on TripAdvisor, I knew his tour was perfect for my Birthday celebration. I prefer private tours over crowded ones. Communicating via WhatsApp was effortless, and Thomas was very quick to respond. He met us at an easy-to-find spot after we disembarked from the boat, and our adventure began. During our six-hour experience, I enjoyed exploring the Yukon and crossed into Canada for the first time. We saw beautiful lakes, a stunning beach, mountain goats, and plenty of bear poop. Thomas was incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating, always ready to stop for photos. He had a great sense of humor that made the time fly. I even faced my fear of heights by walking across a suspension bridge, which was amazing. This day was undoubtedly the highlight of my cruise and a Birthday to remember. The scenery was truly magical. If you're looking for stunning landscapes with a professional guide, book Thomas right away. You'll have a much more enjoyable experience than being on a train among other tourists looking at trees. Thank you, Thomas, for being an excellent host and creating unforgettable memories! Looking forward to the next time.”— TeddingtonAudiTT

“The crew was fantastic—fun, entertaining, and knowledgeable. We witnessed stunning waterfalls, a few baby bald eagles, white goats, and sea otters. It was a wonderful day overall.”— Catherine_P

5Two and a half hours by heated bus — tour Skagway's historic sites and ascend to the White Pass Summit with several photo stops along the route.

6Three hours, guided minibus transport — visit the Yukon Suspension Bridge and historical photo stops along the way.
“My wife and I participated in this tour during our Alaskan cruise to explore more of the Yukon. From the moment Will picked us up at the cruise port, the experience was exceptional. Will's extensive knowledge of the area's history was impressive. He ensured we made several stops for photos and to enjoy the scenery, with the suspension bridge being just one highlight of the trip. The bison chili prepared on-site at the bridge was also a must-try. This is definitely an experience you shouldn't overlook.”— Jacob A
7Three hours, 18 miles on a scooter — explore Skagway's coastline and history with stops for photos and potential wildlife sightings.
“This activity takes you on genuine roads frequented by larger vehicles. It's important to be confident in your driving skills and adhere to traffic regulations. Our guide offered great insights on operating the motorbike, including signaling and braking techniques. We navigated routes that unveiled stunning and remarkable sights. I'm really pleased I opted for this unique tour.”— Pamela_H
8Four hours exploring Skagway, with history stops and a visit to a remote sled dog camp to play with husky puppies.
“We had an unforgettable day. Connor, our driver and tour guide, was the best we've ever experienced anywhere. The natural scenery was truly breathtaking.”— Tom_D
9Four and a half hours, mini coach transport — scenic views en route to sled dog experience and gold panning, with wildlife spotting opportunities along the way.
“This experience can only be described as awesome. Our guide, Chris, enhanced our adventure from the beginning by providing a comprehensive overview of Skagway. We encountered three live black bears on the Alaska-Canada highway. At our first destination, we enjoyed cuddling some adorable puppies before taking an ATV ride with an experienced Iditarod musher and her team of 16 dogs. The stunning mountains along the route were breathtaking, and Chris shared fascinating historical insights about the lakes. We concluded back in Skagway, immersing ourselves in the magic of the gold rush. Chris truly made this adventure remarkable. Thank you, Chris and Klondike Tours, for such a tremendous experience!”— Samir_J
10Half-day tour featuring the Yukon Suspension Bridge, Skagway history, and scenic views of the Boreal forest and Tormented Valley.
“We booked a tour and arrived at 8 am, only to find out it was canceled because they weren’t making enough money. They failed to contact us about the cancellation. Instead, they suggested alternative tours we weren’t interested in. This left us scrambling for last-minute options during our valuable port time, and we ended up renting from a company they owned at an outrageous price. It turned out to be a better choice to explore the Yukon on our own instead of going with this unreliable operator. They promised a refund, but did not process it, and when we disputed the charge, they claimed we had taken the tour. After more than three months of effort, we finally received our refund, but it wasn’t worth the hassle. I strongly advise looking into other options before considering this company.”— mandyd190
