Mariah truly excelled in her role as a guide, making the experience unforgettable with her great sense of humor. She frequently paused for photo opportunities to enjoy the stunning landscapes. Skagway Tours is fortunate to have her on their team. Definitely a five-star experience.
We had an incredible time during our tour with our 7-year-old daughter. Our guide Connor was not only funny and engaging but also knew when to let us enjoy the views in silence. The puppy kisses were a highlight for my daughter, and we were treated to stunning scenery, a walk on the suspension bridge, and much more. Skagway is a delightful town, and this smaller local company offers a fantastic experience alongside the bigger tours. If you want to enjoy an outstanding tour while supporting local businesses, this is the one for you.
This tour exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Will, was fantastic, sharing entertaining stories that connected perfectly with each location. He made sure we visited during less crowded times, which made the experience truly memorable. I particularly loved the puppies we encountered.
Expect to spend more time on the bus than anticipated, but Mariah provided a wealth of facts and insights about the sights along the route. At no point did it feel tedious to be on the bus. The drive was stunning, with ample opportunities for photos at various locations, including the dog camp and suspension bridge by a lake. The suspension bridge area featured a nice café and gift shop. Mariah had personal connections at each stop, and everyone was eager to assist her and her tour group.
This was an excellent tour of the Summit suspension bridge along with puppies. Our guide, Will, was entertaining and knowledgeable. I had a fantastic time.
I have to say, Trey was fantastic! His stories were both entertaining and informative, and we were really happy to have him as our guide throughout the day. We were a small group of eight—just our family and another family. Trey kept us well-informed about our itinerary and what was coming next. Initially, I had some concerns about the bus ride through the mountains, but it turned out to be an incredible experience with stunning views. Trey also took some great photos for us. The only downside was the puppy experience; I had expected to see puppies in a mushing scenario, but they were just cute and cuddly, and we enjoyed the cuddles. Thank you for a wonderful day, Trey!
The experience was disappointing. The bus breaking down added to the overall underwhelming nature of the tour. I had hoped for better. On a positive note, the puppies were adorable and available for adoption, which surprised me since I believed they were being trained as sled dogs.
It was an excellent experience overall. Our guide Pam was amazing, and the puppies truly stole the show. Just be ready for a significant amount of travel time on the bus. The scenery was beautiful, with plenty of fantastic photo opportunities.
The scenery was stunning, and our driver Tyler provided insightful commentary during the drive. However, he missed stopping at some waterfalls, and our visit with the puppies was quite underwhelming. We weren't allowed to engage with the other dogs, as they are working animals, and we could only briefly hold one mother dog and her three-week-old puppies. The facilities were old and in disrepair, detracting from our experience. This portion of the trip wasn’t enjoyable, and we felt we should have chosen a different activity. While the suspension bridge was impressive, our time there was limited.
Spending the day in Skagway was delightful. The sights were stunning, and we had stops for photographs. The summit was truly incredible, and the puppies were so cute—plenty of time for cuddles. The suspension bridge was a lovely addition. Our guide was excellent, although we did have a bus breakdown and had to switch buses during the tour, which took about an hour. Luckily, our guide kept us engaged with stories and historical insights. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
