5Two days and one night — an 18 km trek through Corcovado, overnight at Sirena Station, followed by a scenic boat ride back to Puerto Jiménez.
“I strongly recommend this tour. We were fortunate to have Carlos as our guide; he is truly exceptional. His passion for nature shines through in his knowledge and professionalism. Carlos engages with keen insight, making the experience both fascinating and enjoyable. During our two-day hiking adventure, with an overnight stay at a beautiful jungle camp, we started with a boat ride into the park followed by a morning walk where we encountered an array of wildlife. Carlos shared valuable information about the diverse ecosystem and the area's history, all while demonstrating deep respect for nature. His attention to safety made us feel at ease. It was a privilege to learn from him and connect with the natural surroundings. We are genuinely thankful for this experience and wish Carlos all the best. For anyone considering this tour, we highly recommend it. On the first day, we arrived by boat, and we hiked out the next day. The first day had a focus on wildlife observation, while the second day was more physically demanding. Next time, I would choose a boat in/out option. Our other guide, Jenkins, was also knowledgeable and provided intriguing facts throughout the journey. He deserves admiration for his efforts in collecting plastic and trash from the beach, a task I respect greatly. Unfortunately, we did notice a significant amount of litter along the coastline during our hike out, which is disheartening in such a stunning natural environment. Attracting volunteers for regular cleanups would be beneficial since debris continues to wash up due to ocean currents. Preserving these beautiful places is a crucial responsibility for all of us.”— alinasN2206XH
6Two-hour guided kayak tour through the biodiverse mangroves of Golfo Dulce, observing wildlife in its natural habitat.
“The whole experience was fantastic! They were very understanding about our slightly delayed departure from the cruise ship. A delightful lady transported us to the location, and our guide, David, provided invaluable insights. On our way to the mangroves, we spotted a large sea turtle. For most of the journey, we felt completely alone in the scenery. Navigating through the mangroves felt like being in a cinematic masterpiece. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a peaceful yet active experience.”— Jennifer_H
7Half-day tour in Golfo Dulce — watch whales and dolphins, go snorkeling, and enjoy artisanal fishing while exploring the edge of Piedras Blancas National Park.
“It was just the two of us on the boat, making for an intimate experience. The weather was ideal and the snorkeling was fantastic; we even spotted dolphins swimming beside us. Our captain and guide were very knowledgeable and provided cold water and snacks. I highly recommend this tour.”— kelanil2026
8Three-hour guided tour — kayak through bioluminescent waters at sunset, paddle strokes create glowing trails, swim in warm waters along the beach.
“The experience was unforgettable. We paddled to a beach, and just as we arrived, a large wave hit us and we crashed into a submerged rock, damaging both boats. The company was excellent and quickly provided us with another kayak to return.”— 266larryt
9Full-day tour, one hour by boat — explore Corcovado National Park with a guide, including lunch and all fees.
“This was an exceptionally enjoyable full-day excursion. The boat journey to and from the Park was picturesque, featuring a sunrise departure and an afternoon return, with dolphins spotted along the route. The hike within the Park led by a naturalist guide was insightful, and the guide's spotting scope allowed for close-up views of various wildlife. The unique plants and animals were stunning, showcasing nature in its purest state. The lunch provided at Sirena Station was satisfying and delicious.”— williamsZ8232LB
10Two days, shared small group, boat transport — explore Corcovado National Park with a certified guide, overnight at Sirena Station in the rainforest.
“My wife and I participated in the overnight Sirena Station tour, and our guide Carlos was incredibly passionate and knowledgeable. From the start, it was clear how much he loves guiding in the park. As a naturalist, he is well-versed in the region's flora and fauna. We gained a deeper understanding of the rainforest and its connection to the wildlife during our time together. Carlos’s expertise extends to birds and local wildlife, making him a superb teacher. The park itself was magnificent, and we observed a wealth of wildlife—we even lost count! We encountered all four species of monkeys, including numerous spider monkeys, along with at least six Baird's tapirs, a variety of birds, insects, snakes, and some endemic species. Corcovado is truly a natural wonder and an essential destination in Costa Rica. We arranged our tour through Green Leaf Hotel in Drake Bay, and the scenic boat ride to and from was an added bonus. I highly recommend this exceptional tour.”— Serge_deanna
