Our visit to Corcovado National Park was truly memorable. We started with a boat pickup from Puerto Jiménez, which took around an hour and a half—a great journey in its own right. Once in the park, we enjoyed a pleasant, moderate hike where we encountered a remarkable array of wildlife. Our guide Carlos was exceptional; he helped us spot numerous animals, including alligators, various monkey species, and stunning birds, sharing fascinating insights along the way. A standout moment was when a tapir approached us right after our "wet landing." This experience is a must for anyone who loves nature and animals. Highly recommended.
This experience is truly unique. Our guide Adrian was fantastic and well-informed. We spent hours in the park, encountering incredible wildlife all around us, even during the boat ride.
Our guide was fantastic and provided great insight into the wildlife in the park. The lunch was excellent, and the boat ride was smooth. We spotted many monkeys, toucans, sloths, and wild boars.
There wasn't much to observe—just a few ants and some birds. Traveling by water felt unsafe for my health, and the lunch provided was subpar.
The boat ride can be lengthy and a bit uncomfortable. Upon arrival, be ready to get wet and navigate over large stones to reach the shore. It's essential to pack your backpack with water shoes and sturdy footwear for the trails from the Siren Station. You can spot various wildlife, including tapirs, alongside the natural beauty typical of the amazing national parks in this lovely country.
The guide made every effort to ensure we saw a variety of key wildlife, including tapirs after lunch. It's advisable to wear sturdy shoes since some trails can be muddy and have roots. However, I wouldn't suggest this tour for those with joint problems.
The experience was tedious and dragged on, feeling like 8 hours of being herded around by disinterested young guides. There are definitely better ways to invest your time and money in Costa Rica.
I had a truly enjoyable day. We began with a boat ride where we were lucky enough to see a humpback whale, which was incredible. Our guide, Ally, excelled at spotting various types of wildlife and led our group to quieter parts of the park, avoiding the larger crowds. She was outstanding. The lunch provided was adequate.
This was an exceptionally enjoyable full-day excursion. The boat journey to and from the Park was picturesque, featuring a sunrise departure and an afternoon return, with dolphins spotted along the route. The hike within the Park led by a naturalist guide was insightful, and the guide's spotting scope allowed for close-up views of various wildlife. The unique plants and animals were stunning, showcasing nature in its purest state. The lunch provided at Sirena Station was satisfying and delicious.
We had an amazing time on the tour. It was well-organized, and we appreciated being in a small group while exploring Corcovado. Our guide, Ayder, was incredibly knowledgeable and guided us to see numerous animals during our trek, including countless birds, three types of monkeys, tapirs, and even a sloth. We were all impressed with his skill in spotting and explaining these creatures. He also provided a great magnifier for everyone to use, plus he connected his iPhone for sharing pictures and videos via Airdrop. Our lunch was delightful, featuring typical Costa Rican dishes. The experience of walking through Corcovado was truly magical and definitely worth the journey to the Osa Peninsula.
