    1. Cultural tour of Monument Valley - 3 hours

    5.0· 10 reviews· 3 hours

Three-hour guided tour covering 17 miles of Monument Valley, including visits to traditional Hogan and insights into Navajo culture and history.

Could I rate this experience higher than 5 stars? We joined the sunset to dinner tour in a Jeep, and it was fantastic. The guide took us to truly remarkable spots and ensured we had ample time at each location. For dinner, we dined in complete darkness at a farmhouse where a local family prepared a traditional meal. It was genuinely thrilling and something I would do again. I suggest bringing a bandana and sunglasses to protect against sand, and a light sweatshirt for the cooler evening temperatures.561luisaf

Ninety minutes in an open-air safari vehicle covering the 17-mile loop with stops at key sites like The Mittens and John Ford’s Point, guided by a local Navajo expert.

Brian, our guide, was outstanding. During this tour, we explored Monument Valley and gained insight into its history and rock formations. Expect some bumpy, dusty roads; if you're on an open truck, bring a hat or scarf to cover your mouth. Be sure to stop and visit a hogan to learn about Elvina and her family's living quarters.Sherrry_J

He was polite and eager to address our questions. We visited locations we couldn't have accessed otherwise, making this tour well worth the cost.diverdavid

    4. Sunset tour of Monument Valley with Navajo cultural insights

    4.9· 833 reviews· 3 hours

Two hours exploring Monument Valley's backcountry by SUV — engaging guide, Navajo weaving demonstration, and live performance included.

Our family had been planning this trip from Florida to the Grand Canyon, including a special detour to Monument Valley and Zion, for over five years. We called it the EPIC journey. Our time with Travis, known as Dark Skies, was both magical and epic—it became the highlight of our travels. A particularly memorable moment was when a local weaver asked to style my brother's long hair after sharing her cultural insights; it felt like a spiritual experience that truly touched me. Throughout our journey, Travis openly shared stories about his family and heritage, celebrated my mother’s 84th birthday with a heartfelt song, and showcased native instruments. He also took us off the regular path for a unique behind-the-scenes look. This experience will forever hold a special place in my heart, making it one of my life’s highlights. I highly recommend joining a Navajo Tour at Monument Valley, and if possible, request Travis. Don't forget to buy something with turquoise and later enjoy Stagecoach at home.P4024SMdenisec
