It's important to know the name of your specific tour provider, as the general ticket didn't provide enough details and we were initially sent to the wrong location, causing a delay. We eventually found the tour company name at the bottom of our reservation after some searching. Even though we booked a Jeep tour, we ended up with one of their large trucks, which was disappointing. Our guide, Herbert, provided basic information but only after we asked questions; additional details weren't offered. As a 68-year-old, I found it challenging to get in and out of the truck without assistance, and I received none, relying on my husband for help. Our tour concluded fifteen minutes early, which we accept as we were only two people and didn’t take long at the stops. The beauty of Monument Valley is undeniable, and our tour provider was polite. However, the way we were initially treated was frustrating, and not having a Jeep tour was disappointing. The lack of assistance for getting in and out of the truck was also a letdown. I recommend proceeding with caution when considering Monument Valley Tinhorn Tours.
Aaron, our guide from Tinhorn Tours, was fantastic! He was very engaging and had extensive knowledge of the valley. We took the backcountry tour and experienced sights that are often missed on self-guided tours. I would definitely do it again. Thank you, Aaron!
The tour, led by indigenous guides, offers unique access and insights that larger tours cannot provide. They also accommodated our request to switch from an enclosed to an open vehicle with little notice.
Aaron was incredibly personable, courteous, and well-informed about the history of the monuments. As a native, he offered rich generational stories and insights into Navajo culture. We would have missed so much had we simply driven the 17-mile loop by ourselves.
This was an enjoyable experience with stunning sights. It’s truly the best way to see the 17-mile loop, and there was ample time at each stop to take photos.
Larry was fantastic! He shared stories from his childhood on the reservation with his grandmother. He took us to sacred sites and even sang to us in his native language.
The guide was truly wonderful. We appreciated our conversations with him; despite the language barrier, he managed to explain everything using simple words. He shared his stories and experiences, including the tough moments, yet maintained hope in humanity. His love for nature and his country was evident. We will always remember this morning and his kindness. We wish him all the best. Much respect from the Belgians.
This tour is worth every cent. Exploring the backcountry of Monument Valley was incredible. Our guide Clint enhanced the experience significantly. I highly recommend it.
The tour of Monument Valley was fantastic, and our guide Clint was outstanding, sharing a wealth of information throughout the experience.
This tour exceeded our expectations. The scenery was stunning, and our guide, Clint, was incredibly humble and knowledgeable. He provided a great history lesson about the Navajo culture. The experience included areas often overlooked in typical ads, featuring beautiful sand dunes and cave formations. Overall, it was an outstanding tour.
