Explore local markets and street vendors for traditional dishes and tropical sweets — a true taste of Puerto Plata's culinary heritage.

We had an incredible food tour experience with locals in Puerto Plata. Our guide, Kelvin Ventura, was exceptional and treated us like family. He even took us to his own family farm to learn about different trees and herbs. Tasting chocolate water from the plant was a standout moment. Despite not feeling too well, Kelvin kindly tailored the tour for us, introducing us to Dominican ice cream and traditional food while showing us Pink Street and Umbrella Street. He has a talent for photography and went the extra mile to provide a remedy for my stomach issues. To top it off, he surprised me with a birthday gift. Before we departed, he delighted us with two homemade desserts from his wife, which were delicious. This tour offered a genuine cultural experience that we highly recommend, and we plan to return.Hannah_H

The buggy ride was exhilarating—fast, muddy, and filled with laughter. The entire crew exceeded our expectations in ensuring a memorable outing. Javier and Francisco were fantastic. They were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely dedicated to making sure everyone had a great time.
