My partner and I opted for this tour, and it turned out to be the perfect way to explore the city. Our guide Juan enhanced our experience beyond our expectations. He took us to all the key attractions and even some lesser-known spots, sharing insights about the city’s history, its people, and the land. We appreciated visiting both tourist hotspots and authentic Puerto Plata neighborhoods. Juan communicated clearly in English, making it easy for us to engage with him. He also took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch that served genuine Dominican cuisine. Throughout the tour, Juan prioritized our safety and comfort, ensuring we felt secure in the city. We had an incredible day, largely thanks to him. The city is wonderful, and I highly recommend this tour.
The view from the top of the mountain was stunning. I enjoyed the chapel and the pools filled with fish and turtles. The gardens were lovely, and seeing the city from above was truly beautiful.

We selected this tour because our time in Puerto Plata was limited, and there was much we wanted to experience. AnthonyInfoTours provided a combined walking tour of the city and a visit to the Christ the Redeemer site, which otherwise would have required separate excursions from our cruise. Our guide and driver, Juan Carlos, was exceptional. Although there was a small mix-up at the pick-up point, it was my mistake. Juan Carlos quickly located us, and off we went. He seemed to know everyone in town, introducing us like family. He took us to all the significant sights, a few shops, and a presentation on Laramar and amber, and then drove us to the base where we took a truck up Mount Isabel de Torres for stunning views of Puerto Plata and the impressive Christ the Redeemer statue. When we returned, Juan Carlos was right there to take us back to the port. He even offered to extend his time with us, but we had to be mindful of our departure time. Otherwise, we would have loved to explore more with him. I would certainly choose AnthonyInfoTours again and highly recommend this tour package.
