    5.0· 3 reviews

Full-day tour by private car, including stops at Balbanera Church and Chimborazo Volcano's refuges for stunning views and a short hike.

The tour was truly exceptional. Chimborazo graciously revealed its stunning snowy summit. The journey was a beautiful 5-hour drive through Ecuador's picturesque mountains and roads. Climbing from 4800m to 5000m presented a challenge we embraced, and it was absolutely rewarding. The view from the second refuge is breathtaking.Anton_R

I highly recommend this tour company.chibifillo
  1. Full-day tour of Guayaquil and a cocoa farm, Guayaquil4

    4. Full-day tour of Guayaquil and a cocoa farm

    5.0· 121 reviews· 7 hours

Seven-hour private tour — visit a cocoa farm from 10 AM to 2 PM, then explore downtown Guayaquil with a driver/guide and private vehicle.

I highly recommend Mario as a tour guide. He is exceptional and incredibly knowledgeable, providing detailed insights into the cocoa farm process. The farm itself is a beautiful location, and we had the opportunity to make chocolate from scratch, which included roasting the beans, peeling them, and grinding them into a paste using a hand grinder. We also sampled unique drinks. The lunch provided was delightful, both tasty and beautifully presented. We crafted our own chocolate bars with various toppings according to our preferences, and the chocolate quality was outstanding. Meeting the cocoa farm owners was a great experience, and we could purchase chocolate bars at a very fair price. On our way back to Guayaquil, Mario took us to see highlights such as a church, a lovely street, and the iguana park, sharing the city’s history and answering all our questions about life in Ecuador. Our full day with Mario ran from 10 AM to 6 PM. Thank you, Mario; we truly appreciate your country!Maureen_C

  4. Full-day tour of mangroves, dolphins, and birds near Guayaquil, Guayaquil7

    7. Full-day tour of mangroves, dolphins, and birds near Guayaquil

    4.8· 23 reviews· 8 hours

Six hours on a private boat through mangrove estuaries — search for dolphins, spot diverse birdlife, and enjoy a seafood lunch from local traditions.

Yamil, the owner of Viasam, provided an exceptional experience from the beginning to end, including a private pick-up at my hotel and a delightful vegetarian meal with him and his wife at their home. The personalized touch reminded me of visiting friends or family. The tour itself was remarkable, featuring an exploration of the mangroves, close encounters with dolphins, and a variety of birds, with roseate spoonbills standing out as my personal favorite. Beyond that, Yamil shared in-depth knowledge about Guayaquil and Ecuador, highlighting both the challenges and advancements in the balance of development and conservation. It's evident that he and his company have fostered strong connections with the local community, ensuring that everyone involved benefits from the tours. Yamil kept all his promises and demonstrated flexibility in accommodating my preferences, maintaining communication throughout. I highly recommend Viasam, and I wish I had discovered their charming home hostel, Villa97, earlier to stay there instead of a hotel.lindaoZ6514LW
  5. Cacao farm day trip from Guayaquil, Guayaquil8

    8. Cacao farm day trip from Guayaquil

    4.8· 32 reviews· 5 hours

Full-day trip by car — explore a family cacao farm, enjoy fresh fruit tastings, and a farm-to-table lunch from organic ingredients.

Our visit didn't align with what was advertised, as we ended up at a smaller farm with fewer facilities. We weren't able to see the complete chocolate-making process. Afterward, we headed to a town for lunch, which was not a farm-to-table experience. Although the guide was friendly, it felt like we were taken to a different place than anticipated. The tour was unstructured and appeared to be in the process of being developed as a new attraction.Helen G
