Guayaquil Historical Park (Parque Histórico)
Guayaquil, Ecuador

Guayaquil Historical Park is a sprawling 20-hectare cultural site that recreates colonial-era life through three distinct areas: the wildlife reserve, the traditional district, and the urban historic centre. Visitors encounter a blend of native flora and fauna, along with restored buildings showcasing early 20th-century architecture, all nestled alongside the banks of the Guayas River.
Plan to spend a few hours exploring the park’s trails, observing animals like iguanas and capybaras, and engaging with local artisans. Mornings and late afternoons are ideal for avoiding the heat. The park is conveniently located near the vibrant Las Peñas neighbourhood, which is worth a stroll once you've finished your visit.

Full-day tour of Guayaquil and a cocoa farm
5.0· 121 reviewsFrom ₹17,633Seven-hour private tour — visit a cocoa farm from 10 AM to 2 PM, then explore downtown Guayaquil with a driver/guide and private vehicle.
“I highly recommend Mario as a tour guide. He is exceptional and incredibly knowledgeable, providing detailed insights into the cocoa farm process. The farm itself is a beautiful location, and we had the opportunity to make chocolate from scratch, which included roasting the beans, peeling them, and grinding them into a paste using a hand grinder. We also sampled unique drinks. The lunch provided was delightful, both tasty and beautifully presented. We crafted our own chocolate bars with various toppings according to our preferences, and the chocolate quality was outstanding. Meeting the cocoa farm owners was a great experience, and we could purchase chocolate bars at a very fair price. On our way back to Guayaquil, Mario took us to see highlights such as a church, a lovely street, and the iguana park, sharing the city’s history and answering all our questions about life in Ecuador. Our full day with Mario ran from 10 AM to 6 PM. Thank you, Mario; we truly appreciate your country!”— Maureen_C on the Full-day tour of Guayaquil and a cocoa farm tour
