A thrilling sea-cliff climb in Bodø, suitable for all skill levels, guided by experienced instructors.

As someone who has a fear of heights, standing at the start of the rope bridge felt intimidating. However, with a few deep breaths and Sven's supportive words, my anxiety eased. Once I crossed the rope bridge and reached the cliff face, Sven consistently checked in and provided guidance, which greatly boosted my confidence. Navigating the different rock faces and finding hand and foot holds was extremely enjoyable, and I felt very safe thanks to the climbing gear and Sven's expertise. I highly recommend this for anyone, even those with a heightened fear of heights.samaX205GJ

I had an excellent experience renting a bike from Opplev Nord. When I found myself stuck in Ørnes, they went above and beyond to help me find a solution. Their service exceeded my expectations; they were both helpful and focused on finding answers. The bike was in great condition, and their accommodation really saved the day. Three hours on electric mountain bikes — ride through forests and up to mountain ridges, enjoying views from sea to summit.

An excellent outdoor experience. Although we were fit, we lacked extensive mountain biking skills. Our guide was outstanding; he challenged us while also teaching us techniques and monitoring our progress. The mountains were stunning, but unfortunately, cloud cover obscured views of the waterways. Despite that, it was definitely worth it, and we would gladly participate again on our next trip.gregfH9519UB

  10. Hiking to Hovdsundet Beach in Bodø, Bodo10

    10. Hiking to Hovdsundet Beach in Bodø

    5.0· 10 reviews6 hoursFrom₹18,231/ person

A challenging hike to Hovdsundet Beach, approximately 4 hours round trip, ideal for experienced backcountry hikers seeking remote coastal views.

In my view, this is undoubtedly the top attraction in Bodo. The stunning view at the mountain summit is truly awe-inspiring. The round trip took me 2.5 hours, including 30 minutes in the dark, and as a 61-year-old, I found the trek to be unexpectedly challenging and dangerous. I made numerous mistakes, so I’ll share some tips to help you prepare: wear proper boots, carry plenty of water and snacks, start early to avoid darkness, don’t hike alone, keep your phone charged, and avoid going if it’s wet or about to rain. If I hadn't encountered two kind 21-year-old Norwegian girls, I might not have made it back! Being well-prepared will enhance your experience. The trek has many tough and risky areas, so stay alert and focused. What you’ll find at the top is nature in its finest form. From the summit, you can see much of the beach and distant mountains, but if you head to the left, there’s a small ledge that offers a complete view of the beach, though the mountains aren't visible from below. I recommend visiting both spots for varied perspectives in your photos and videos. This is a must-do experience.jordanellie41

This tour was truly magical. The clear sky allowed us to enjoy the Northern lights in various stunning settings, such as the beach and mountains, thanks to our knowledgeable guide. Being part of a small group was a significant advantage; it meant more individualized attention, flexible timing, and a more relaxed atmosphere. This experience was far superior to our previous bus tour in Tromsø with 40 people. A heartfelt thanks to the organizer for such a wonderful tour.Zenobia31

Three hours, eBike ride followed by a hike — bonfire at Ausvika beach, potential aurora sightings, local conditions dictate timing.

My experience on this tour with Ola was truly remarkable. I aimed to push my limits and see the Northern Lights, which had long been on my bucket list. Although I felt apprehensive since I hadn't ridden an e-bike recently and the mountain was tough for me, Ola was incredibly patient, allowing me to take breaks and boosting my confidence. We witnessed stunning lights during our descent, an unforgettable experience that I will always treasure.42kaseys
