Nine hours on a classic boat exploring the channels, lakes, and wetlands around Tulcea, with views up to Mila23.

Many tour operators in the Danube Delta don't operate during the off-season, but Safca remains open year-round. My wife and I were the only ones on the tour, which we felt was exceptional service. The guides and crew communicated well in English and were both knowledgeable and friendly. They assisted us in bird-watching and provided insights into the ornithology, history, culture, and geography of the Delta. The hospitality on board was outstanding. For lunch, we enjoyed the renowned Danube Delta fish stew, which truly deserved its acclaim as one of the best globally. The hotel pick-up and drop-off were seamless. We highly recommend Safca. Just a note: if you're taking a winter tour, dress warmly. Even with warm drinks and blankets, it can be quite chilly.lgeb_1
  1. Plitvice Lakes National Park full-day guided tour, Tulcea4

    4. Plitvice Lakes National Park full-day guided tour

    5.0· 1 reviews· 10 hours

A full day exploring Plitvice Lakes National Park — guided tour, scenic trails, diverse ecosystems, and opportunities for photography along shimmering lakes and waterfalls.

I thoroughly enjoyed the three private tours I arranged this week. Zagreb is lovely, and I wanted to visit the key attractions during my seven-night stay. On Monday, I visited Plitvička jezera, which was truly breathtaking. It's a must-see in Croatia with its incredible waterfalls and UNESCO status. For the second tour, we explored Samobor, a charming village with beautiful churches and a delicious cake that everyone should try. A few hours here is sufficient, making a half-day visit ideal. On the third tour, we had a full day on the Istrian Peninsula, where we went to Pula and Rovinj. We also stopped at a lavender farm and enjoyed an olive oil tasting that included some local cheeses. It was a long day, so be sure to rest beforehand. I wish I could have spent a few more days in this area, but I'll plan better next time. Dejan is an outstanding guide! All three tours were fantastic. Thank you so much! I highly recommend booking with this company; they truly make you feel like family.rpoli12

    5. Winter birdwatching day trip to Dobrudja from Tulcea

    5.0· 1 reviews

Full-day tour focusing on wintering birds in Dobrudja, including Red-breasted Goose, with an experienced guide.

Our visit to Romania was a first, and we spent two days birdwatching in Dobruja and the Danube River Delta. We were aiming to see winter specialties like the Red-breasted Goose, which we successfully spotted both days. We had planned a boat trip on the Delta for our second day, but strong winds made this impossible. Initially disappointed, I appreciated how our guides adapted our plans to enhance our experience despite the weather. We enjoyed two unique and rewarding bird-filled days in Dobruja. As first-time visitors, we had many target species in mind, and the guides exceeded our expectations by helping us see even more. They also surprised us with some unexpected bird sightings, which was thrilling. Their professionalism shone through in their extensive knowledge of local birds, and we learned about the region's history and culture through our engaging conversations. The guides were patient, kind, resourceful, and showed great respect for both us and nature. I highly recommend booking with them and hope to return to explore the area and its birds during spring or summer.kevincX4508IK

In July 2025, I visited the Danube Delta, and it exceeded all my expectations. As soon as we departed from the Tulcea pier and navigated the Delta's narrow channels, a stunning world unfolded. This was a fantastic 11-hour tour led by an exceptionally knowledgeable guide. He identified every bird and shared fascinating stories about the area's history. In Letea, we encountered stunning wild horses and unique trees, and learned about biology and botany. The lunch was excellent, and the dessert was unforgettable.
