We took two day trips: one to Letea Forest through Mila 23, and another exploring medieval fortresses before returning to Bucharest. Our time in the Danube Delta was exceptional, especially during migration season when we encountered an astonishing number of birds, which we found surprisingly enjoyable even though we aren’t bird watchers. The Delta boat ride was a fantastic experience, and lunch in Letea brought back fond memories of my childhood with my Great Grandma's gogoşi. I highly recommend this trip. On our second day, we visited three medieval fortresses. While I’ve seen better-preserved sites and historical explanations, the day was still relaxed and enjoyable, especially the lakeside picnic and the ancient ruins. I strongly recommend this company; they are dedicated to ensuring you have a wonderful experience and see everything you wish to!
The entire journey was my favorite aspect of this trip. We explored the Danube Delta, and it was truly remarkable, from early morning until just before sunset on beautiful channels that left us speechless. The tour guide was outstanding. The tour with Discover Danube Delta exceeded our expectations. Despite a payment issue that initially affected our booking, they quickly found us a guide and made the tour happen. Their flexibility and customer service were impressive. The ride was highly informative, and we spotted many unique birds and their nesting areas, all thanks to our knowledgeable guide. Once we arrived in Letea, we enjoyed large portions of delicious fish dishes, which were well worth the price. Overall, the Danube Delta is a must-see for any nature lover, and Discover Danube Delta ensures an unforgettable experience. A helpful tip: bring sunglasses, as the sunlight reflecting off the water can be very harsh.

We enjoyed an exceptional day trip with "Discover Danube Delta" and highly recommend this tour operator. Our guide was outstanding, addressing all our inquiries thoroughly and being exceptionally attentive. He pointed out a variety of wildlife, including majestic pelicans, eagles, rare gold jackals, elegant cormorants, colorful kingfishers, and wild horses. He also shared fascinating information about the Danube Delta and its distinct ecosystem. The traditional lunch was incredibly tasty and a standout moment of the day. The open boat was ideal for our excursion, making it easier to observe and photograph the birds and scenery.
This felt like a tourist trap. Ratinger Forest was equally unimpressive. While the boat ride through the Delta had its merits, the so-called safari was not worth the time.
