The express coach service provided by Pacific was an excellent experience. The relatively new coach featured comfortable leather seating and air conditioning. For just $18, it was a substantial saving compared to the $220 taxi fare that takes the same amount of time. Being higher up in the coach allowed us to enjoy more views of the island as well.234garethg

Full-day, guided tour of Suva — explore landmarks, including the President’s Residence and Albert Park, with options for shopping and dining.

We arranged this tour during our cruise stop in Suva. Despite some past negative comments, we didn’t face any of those issues. I communicated with the company multiple times prior to arriving, and they adjusted our itinerary based on our request to exclude the waterfall. All my questions were answered promptly, especially when our port times changed just a day before arrival, and I received a revised schedule within an hour. Upon meeting at the agreed location, we were swiftly picked up by Peter, the company owner, in a clean, modern vehicle with efficient air conditioning. Our visit on a Sunday presented some challenges since many places were closed and rain limited outdoor options. Nonetheless, Peter expertly showcased Suva and surrounding areas, taking us to an open market for local goods and to the museum, which was also accessible. He possesses extensive knowledge about Fiji, its culture, and its global influences, sharing insights even on current issues like drug trafficking from Asia, which I later saw reported in the Washington Post. We had a wonderful afternoon with Peter and highly recommend this tour.hbhakh

Tailor your own itinerary for exploring Suva, including waterfalls, village life, and the city’s history in the museum, all at your pace.

There was some confusion regarding the pickup location; I had to walk outside the port area to find the driver since they couldn’t enter that zone. Once in the vehicle, it became clear that there weren't any good snorkeling spots or worthwhile beaches near Suva. We visited the falls, which were essentially man-made areas possibly created from runoff, and I was unsure about the water source. The walk through the forest was unsuitable for those who aren't agile. While I did take a dip to cool off, I felt the visit wasn't necessary. We also went to the museum and I paid extra for entry, but I believe it wasn't worth any fee. The only highlight of the day was the souvenir shopping, but the lines were very long; if shopping isn't your interest, this stop would be disappointing. The driver was friendly and candid about the lack of activities near Suva, suggesting other islands with better beaches and more tourist attractions.Karen_Q
