I was initially concerned that the driver wouldn't arrive since I asked the tour operator to contact me when he was on his way and I was inside a locked compound. I tried reaching out, but it was after office hours, and my weekend messages went unanswered. I almost canceled after waiting 10 minutes past the scheduled pick-up time, but I decided to check at the front gate, and to my relief, he was there waiting for me. Shortly after, I received a call confirming his arrival. Fortunately, the driver turned out to be excellent—safe, friendly, and the three-hour drive from Suva to Nadi was both beautiful and relaxing. We made it in time for our flight.
The express coach service provided by Pacific was an excellent experience. The relatively new coach featured comfortable leather seating and air conditioning. For just $18, it was a substantial saving compared to the $220 taxi fare that takes the same amount of time. Being higher up in the coach allowed us to enjoy more views of the island as well.
