Top 3 nightlife & evening things to do in Kingston

Kingston after dark. Jazz bars, food crawls that start at 9 PM, sundowner cruises, and the rooftops worth the climb. Curated for travellers who'd rather their evenings be a story than a queue.

    4.4· 66 reviews· 1.5 hours

Two hours, walking and trolley—explore Kingston's haunted spots and hear tales from its 200-year-old mysterious history.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the trolley. Richard, our driver, was both entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend experiencing a ride with him; he was articulate and made it a perfect 10/10. I appreciated all the intriguing and eerie facts he shared.Theresa A
  2. Sunset dinner cruise in Thousand Islands, Kingston2

    2. Sunset dinner cruise in Thousand Islands

    4.1· 84 reviews· 3 hours

Three hours on the Island Star — a four-course dinner with live music, scenic views of cottage islands at sunset.

The experience was fair. There were no explanations in French, and the prices are quite high. However, the food was quite good, despite not being served very hot.petitcri
  3. Sunset cocktail cruise on the St. Lawrence River, Kingston3

    3. Sunset cocktail cruise on the St. Lawrence River

    3.6· 11 reviews· 2 hours

Two hours aboard the Island Belle — cocktails, scenic views of Kingston, and light music on a floating patio atmosphere.

I booked the Sunset Cruise with a Premium Table, and although I was happy to pay extra for better seating, the entertainment fell short. In previous years, Mr. Bridges provided engaging comedy, and there was informative commentary about the Royal Military College, Fort Henry, and the Thousand Islands. The meal was very slow to arrive, and when it finally did, my table received uneven portions—one person had a large serving of beef while the rest of us got barely enough. It felt unprofessional for the waitress to repeatedly ask us to tip generously, especially since it was already stated on the menu. I will not be returning, despite having previously recommended this cruise to my guests. For nearly $500 for four people, the experience did not match the price.savvytravellers2008
