Reviews
The experience was fair. There were no explanations in French, and the prices are quite high. However, the food was quite good, despite not being served very hot.
It was my first experience on a boat, and it was fantastic; everything was wonderful. The activities on board were incredible, and the food and music were great. I'm looking forward to returning, as Kingston feels like a world of its own.
We felt let down by the experience. While the cruise itself was enjoyable, background noise from a large group of ladies made it difficult to hear the entertainer's commentary about the 1000 Islands. The food was quite good, but we had to wait over an hour for our drinks. More servers were certainly needed, and there was a lack of follow-up on our drink orders or coffee/tea after we finished eating. Overall, it was not the wonderful experience we had anticipated after looking forward to it for years.
The sunset cruise was enjoyable and well organized. The dinner was satisfactory, but not exceptional. I was disappointed to find out that the dessert upgrade for my son and partner came at an extra $12 per person. Since a New York cheesecake was already included with dinner, this additional charge for a chocolate layer cake seemed excessive, as the cost difference should be minimal. They should have offered him the cheesecake as well.
The boat is a commercial vessel with a greater capacity than what was shown in the advertisement. Otherwise, it was acceptable but not exceptional. The landscapes were beautiful.
The experience was excellent overall, and I would still recommend it despite a few issues. The final bill contained incorrect drinks and dessert details, and upgrading dessert costs around $11.50, which isn't mentioned on the menu. I also discovered that even though tickets can be downloaded to an electronic wallet, the tour operator requires printed tickets from a kiosk near the dock, which meant waiting in line for 30 minutes. On the bright side, the seating is assigned, so there's no worry about finding a seat.
This was an outstanding experience! The boat departed on schedule, service was superb, and the narration along with the music was well-timed. The food was delicious, and the Captain's entertainment was a delightful surprise. The sunset made for a beautiful night on the cruise.
This was an incredible experience. The food was excellent, the service was outstanding, and the entertainment was fantastic. I've always wanted to explore the 1000 Islands, and I'm so glad I finally did. I strongly recommend this cruise to anyone considering it; you won't regret it.
The dinner cruise was fantastic! The food was superb, and the entertainment was incredible. The highlight was definitely the Captain performing karaoke, which made it even more enjoyable.
The experience was disappointing and not worth the time or money. The restaurant is poorly managed, with an abusive kitchen staff, notably the F&B manager Sterling Guilherme, who many staff members described as unqualified and problematic under pressure. The food quality was shockingly low, considering the prices. The rib chuck served was of the worst quality, misleadingly labeled as braised short rib despite lacking any bones, as another cook later confirmed it was merely chuck. The cooking method employed left the meat soggy and tough, suggesting severe knowledge gaps regarding proper braising techniques. Additionally, there seems to be a disregard for food safety, with neglect in discarding improperly stored food. An unstable dishwasher named Debra added to the unpleasant atmosphere with her hostility towards both coworkers and guests. Given these issues, it raises concerns about management's ability to lead effectively and its impact on the hardworking staff. We had previously enjoyed this establishment in 2018 and 2019, but the changes in management and menu have ruined the experience. We will now seek a more enjoyable venue for our summer staff party.
