Reviews
Richard was an exceptional driver for both our ghost tour and the hop-on-hop-off tour. He has a talent for dad jokes and clearly loves sharing his knowledge of Kingston with both tourists and locals. The hop-on-hop-off tour is an excellent way to explore the city, featuring nine stops at key attractions. We highly recommend the K Pass. One suggestion for the management team is to implement an electronic tipping option, like a square tap reader or e-transfer.
Richard's diverse background as a medical cadaver, bus driver, IT professional, and more was certainly surprising. We ended up learning more about him and his interests, including his marriage and die cast cars, than about Kingston’s history. The historical actors provided a nice break from all the facts about Bill.
We chose this tour as part of our K-Pass, even though we typically prefer walking tours. The experience was enjoyable, with a knowledgeable guide who shared a lot about Kingston. While some stops had a spooky vibe, it wasn’t excessively frightening, making it suitable for kids. The tour includes stops but does not allow participants to disembark.
This Ghost Trolley tour offers a solid overall experience. Richard was a good guide, although at times he focused a bit on his own stories. The trolley's pacing was pleasant, and the chilly night made it more engaging—dress warmly! In this 1.5-hour tour, Kingston's dark history and its spirits are revealed. History enthusiasts will likely appreciate this tour; I recommend it.
We had a fantastic evening. Visiting at night was a great choice, and the story actors were impressive. It added a lot of enjoyment to our weekend in Kingston. The guide was both excellent and well-informed.
The tour was enjoyable and engaging, featuring impressive actors and plenty of unexpected moments. Richard, our driver, took us to locations I never thought existed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the trolley. Richard, our driver, was both entertaining and knowledgeable. I highly recommend experiencing a ride with him; he was articulate and made it a perfect 10/10. I appreciated all the intriguing and eerie facts he shared.
Booking this tour the night before was convenient, but I suggest securing a spot earlier since it's a popular unique experience that tends to fill up quickly. The blend of historical facts and ghost stories was excellent, complemented by a few talented actors who shared their tales. Our guide, although I can't remember their name, was informative and an engaging storyteller. We attended the tour on October 18, 2025, at 6:50 pm, and the guide also drove safely and communicated clearly.
The trolley itself is charming and the tour offers a wealth of information. The young actors were outstanding. Nonetheless, the windows fogged up frequently, necessitating them to be open for visibility, which was uncomfortable given the freezing temperatures with the windchill. When a passenger brought this up, the guide's response was dismissive, suggesting they were fortunate to have windows at all. While I enjoyed the tour, the overall experience could have been improved.
The ghost performers were the standout part of the tour, as they were both convincing and engaging. However, one individual at the beginning spoke too quietly, which caused the back of the trolley to lose interest. While the narrator was knowledgeable, there were so many names and details mentioned that it became difficult to stay focused. The sightseeing commentary felt excessive, and reducing it by about 15 minutes would improve the experience.
