    6. Sunrise tour to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise

    4.9· 102 reviews· 6.5 hours

Four hours, comfortable transport, hot beverages included — enjoy sunrise views at Moraine Lake and Lake Louise without the crowds.

We participated in an early morning small-group tour led by our guide and driver, Ozzy. The experience began with a 4am pickup, but we were greeted warmly and soon headed to Moraine Lake. Having heard about the challenges of arriving before sunrise only to deal with full car parks and long shuttle waits, booking a sunrise tour felt like the best option for us. We reached Moraine Lake about half an hour before sunrise, where Ozzy prepared tea and coffee for our group, along with delicious maple biscuits. He provided small backpacks with seats and blankets for our comfort. We then embarked on a 10-minute walk up to the Rockpile, which was an easy hike despite some uneven sections, so good footwear is necessary. Sitting on a rock, wrapped in a blanket with a warm coffee, and waiting for the first light on the mountains was a magical experience. While we weren't completely alone—given that this is Canada’s most photographed lake—it only added to the ambiance as everyone comes to appreciate the same stunning view. The sunrise was spectacular. Although it was cloudy and misty on our way up, the mist cleared, revealing breathtaking peaks bathed in soft golden light. We highly recommend Jumper Tours. After our time at Moraine Lake, we moved on to Lake Louise. It felt a bit less impressive by comparison—Moraine Lake truly shines—but it was still enjoyable to visit.tomj932
