A four-hour guided tour featuring Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, with time for exploration and warm beverages on hand.
This morning tour explores two iconic lakes in the Canadian Rockies over four hours. You'll visit Moraine Lake first, providing ample opportunity for paddling, hiking, or simply enjoying the scenery. Then, the tour moves to Lake Louise, where you can continue to explore the area at your leisure.
With a small group format, knowledgeable guides share stories about wildlife, history, and ecology. The tour includes convenient pick-up and drop-off, a comfortable ride, and thoughtful extras like warm beverages and hiking poles. A practical note: dress in layers as the weather can change quickly in the mountains.

I'm thrilled that I chose this trip. First, regarding the guide, Chris was fantastic. He was friendly, humorous, and knowledgeable, which I really appreciated for my first visit. His keen attention to detail surpassed any other tours I’ve experienced. He thoughtfully highlighted landmarks and shared interesting snippets of information. Unlike many guides who can sound rehearsed or overly talkative, Chris engaged us with personal stories and anecdotes. It's clear he is passionate about his work. As for the stops at Moraine and Louise, they were well-timed, and I enjoyed the morning visit when the crowds were smaller. The drive lasted around 45 minutes, and we had two hours at each stunning location. I’m eager to return next year and will definitely ask for Chris again when I bring my friends.
This tour provides an exceptional experience with two hours spent at each lake, which is essential since 45 minutes or an hour is insufficient. I appreciated the small group size of 14 and the hotel pick-up was convenient. It was a very enjoyable day.
We signed up for the sunrise tour departing from Canmore at 5:10 am, and although we were hesitant about the early wake-up, it was entirely worth it. Our guide, Hannah, was exceptional—calm, knowledgeable, and considerate. She led us to the ideal location at Moraine Lake to witness the sunrise, and the scenery was indescribable. After exploring, we moved on to Lake Louise, where Hannah provided excellent suggestions. We opted to canoe, and that turned out to be the best choice—an absolutely unforgettable experience! If possible, we would give this tour even more than 5 stars. Our heartfelt thanks to Hannah for making our day a dream come true.
Sebastian was an excellent guide who struck the right balance, giving us information without overwhelming us. The opportunity to explore on our own at Lake Moraine and Lake Louise was much appreciated. I'm not usually a fan of bus tours, but this small group of 13 with its flexibility suited us perfectly.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, especially the two lakes, and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. Rob and Tracey from Australia.
I found this tour to be the only one that allowed for two hours at both Lakes Louise and Moraine, rather than just one. This ample time let us rent a canoe and hike without the stress of rushing. Our guide, Chris, was enjoyable and kept us entertained during the drive with engaging stories, and he personally took us to the key spots.
Communication was prompt, and pickup was punctual, making the entire experience smooth. Our guide Chris was friendly and provided interesting local history during the trip. We traveled in a comfortable vehicle, and it was a nice addition to have hot beverages waiting for us upon arrival in the morning. The views at Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are truly breathtaking and should not be overlooked. Thank you for an unforgettable tour.
This was an excellent tour with a wonderful guide. Dustin was punctual, arriving at our hotel with a warm morning drink. He was very informative, and we had an amazing experience at Moraine Lake followed by canoeing at Lake Louise. We also had a nice lunch at the Fairmount Lake Louise café. The communication was great, making for a fabulous tour overall.
Definitely worth it. Our guide was excellent, and the journey from Banff was smooth. The stunning views really do all the talking.
We had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. Our guide, Justin, was both professional and knowledgeable, as well as friendly. We were the first group of 10 picked up from our hotel. He carefully pointed out the best spots for photos and made sure we had ample time to appreciate the scenery without feeling hurried. Coffee and tea were available for us, which was a nice touch. Since August is typically the busiest month to visit Banff, booking early via the Parks Canada website for a free shuttle is advisable, though we didn’t manage to do so. It's essential to note that personal vehicles cannot access Lake Morraine. The entire experience with Into the Wild Tours was smooth, stress-free, and truly worthwhile.
