    2. Full-day private tour and hike in Olympic National Park

    5.0· 11 reviews

Explore Olympic National Park in a private vehicle — a full day of hiking, scenic drives, and storytelling from expert guides familiar with the unique ecosystems.

Without a doubt, this private tour was pricey, but due to my physical limitations, it was a necessary option. Looking back, I can confidently say the cost was justified. Our guide, Felicity, evaluated various trails and attractions to determine what I could manage. She even adjusted the tour time from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM to 1:30 PM - 9:30 PM to avoid the large crowds and lengthy waits at the Hoh Rain Forest. Throughout the tour, Felicity showcased extensive knowledge about the nature, geology, and history of the areas we explored. She was also an enthusiastic and charming guide, sharing many enjoyable stories from her own experiences.O6108VQrichardw

    4. Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach guided tour from Port Angeles

    4.9· 156 reviews· 9 hours

A full day exploring Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach with guided hikes and round-trip transport from Port Angeles.

My experience with Olympic Hiking Co on the guided tour of the Hoh Rain Forest and Rialto Beach was incredible. The company was well-organized, friendly, and accommodating, which was especially important for me as a solo traveler with a packed itinerary. I arrived early at their office in Port Angeles, and despite having my luggage, the staff graciously offered to store it for me until I completed the tour. The check-in process was efficient, and the staff were professional and welcoming. We made quick stops at Forks Outfitters for refreshments on our way to and from the rainforest, and the drive offered spectacular views, particularly of Lake Crescent. Our guide was exceptional—knowledgeable and enthusiastic about nature. He taught us how to identify various trees like spruce, fir, and hemlock, and had us taste wood sorrel, which had a refreshing lime-pepper taste. He also provided memorable mnemonics and fascinating insights regarding the forest ecosystem, from devil’s club to fairy barf lichens. We encountered ferns, step moss, and even spotted a black licorice slug. We enjoyed a second hike on the Spruce Nature Trail, which led us to the picturesque Hoh River. I greatly appreciated both hikes—the Hall of Mosses and the Spruce Nature Trail. After exploring the rainforest, we headed to Rialto Beach, stopping again in Forks. The beach was beautiful, featuring dramatic cliffs, ocean mist, and had a distinct Twilight ambiance. Although the weather was cloudy and cool, the views were stunning. We even spotted a humorous sign that said, “No Vampires Beyond This Point,” on our way to the beach. Overall, Olympic Hiking Co far surpassed my expectations. Their tours are ideal for solo travelers and small groups. I thoroughly enjoyed this remarkable experience and am delighted to have participated in this tour.280vyshnaviv

    6. Small-group day tour of Olympic National Park from Seattle

    4.9· 1015 reviews· 12 hours

Ten-hour tour — highlights of Olympic National Park, including Lake Crescent, coastal shores, and guided hikes with a local organic lunch provided.

We took the tour of Olympic National Park as a final family trip before our son goes to college, and it turned out to be incredibly memorable, exceeding all our expectations. The pickup was punctual, and the journey to the park was smooth. The scenery was stunning at every turn, creating endless photo opportunities. Our guides, Marty and his teammate Max, were exceptional—kind, considerate, and incredibly knowledgeable. Marty’s commentary on the region's history, Indigenous tribes, and the personalities of the cities en route was fantastic. Once we reached the park, Marty’s expertise about the lakes, forests, beaches, and varied wildlife, including a bald eagle, was impressive. We learned a lot and hiked to beautiful spots we had only seen in postcards. They provided ample snacks, drinks, a delicious lunch, and made restroom stops as needed. The experience was worth every minute and dollar spent, creating lasting memories for our family, for which we are truly thankful.Danielle_D
