What's the itinerary?+
• Take a ferry boat from downtown Seattle across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island as you head towards Olympic National Park. • Cross the Hood Canal floating bridge. • Enjoy a scenic drive from the ferry terminal to Olympic National Park. • Weather permitting, there may be a visit to the Elwha River ecosystem, known for the largest dam removal project in the world. • Upon entering Olympic National Park, you will notice the larger trees and greener moss, creating an impression of a different world. The park spans nearly 1 million acres. • Lake Crescent, a serene glacial lake surrounded by ancient forests, offers a picturesque landscape reminiscent of a fantasy novel. • Take a tranquil nature walk to discover a hidden waterfall nestled among massive trees. • Depending on the weather, there may be an opportunity to explore the North Coast of the Olympic Peninsula for tidepooling and photography. • When conditions allow, a drive to Hurricane Ridge will reveal expansive views of the Olympic Mountains, Salish Sea, and possibly even as far as Victoria and Vancouver Island. In summer, trails through the subalpine meadows await, where deer and marmots may be spotted among the wildflowers.
