A lodge is situated here, offering a relaxing space for those not hiking to Marymere Falls and the old growth trees. Kayaks and other boats for rent are offered if you prefer not to hike. • An optional stop that depends on tide conditions: explore a sea-stack and tide pools at a beautiful beach. If conditions do not permit a stop at Salt Creek Recreation Area, the visit will switch to Dungeness Spit, which is also a scenic beach and wildlife sanctuary. Hiking is encouraged. • An optional stop: if tide conditions do not allow for a visit to Salt Creek Recreation Area, we will instead visit Dungeness Spit, known for its beach and wildlife sanctuary. (Departures may occur from Edmonds Ferry Terminal.) • This is the location designated for food stops, featuring a full-service deli, espresso coffee, souvenirs, and all necessary snacks for the day. • An optional park stop, primarily during fall, showcasing a picturesque waterfall, an ancient forest with areas resembling a temperate rainforest, and seasonal salmon runs in autumn. Hiking is recommended, or you can bring a swimsuit to enjoy hot springs.
