Full-day guided sea kayaking trip from Picton
4.9· 93 reviewsFrom ₹9,755A full day of sea kayaking across Queen Charlotte Sound, stopping for meals on a sandy beach with a knowledgeable guide.
“My husband and I took the overnight kayak trip to Lochmara Lodge. On the first day, we paddled with the day group and our guide was knowledgeable and supportive. The map was quite useful once we separated from the group and it clearly showed landmarks. We were fortunate with the weather, having to paddle against the wind only in the final stretch to Lochmara. The Lodge is stunning and makes the stay worthwhile—it's a beautiful location. On Day 2, we paddled back to Picton using the map. We truly enjoyed the experience and are glad we participated.”— Explore17048451605 on the Full-day guided sea kayaking trip from Picton tour

4.9· 164 reviewsFrom ₹6,886Four hours of kayaking in the Queen Charlotte Sound, exploring coves and beaches with a knowledgeable guide and a chance to see wildlife like seals and dolphins.
“Kayaking in the Malborough Sound was an incredible experience. Helen's expertise on the local flora and fauna really stood out. We enjoyed stunning views, saw sting and eagle rays in a cove, sea stars feeding, and various birds around a bait ball. She provided clear kayak instructions and handled a situation with an unwell group member with great care. Hearing about her experiences and the region added depth to the trip. The kayaks were excellent quality. I highly recommend Wilderness Guides and Helen.”— bbjackson1 on the Guided half-day sea kayak tour in Marlborough Sounds tour

We also loved spotting fur seals, king shags, blue penguins, and shearwater birds from the boat. On the island, we had close encounters with South Island robins, piwakawaka, saddlebacks, and bell birds. The knowledgeable crew made everything enjoyable, and they were willing to assist with anything.
