  4. Gold Dredge 8 tour in Fairbanks, Fairbanks4

    4. Gold Dredge 8 tour in Fairbanks

    4.5· 969 reviews· 2 hours

Three hours of guided exploration — see the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, ride a replica train, tour a gold dredge, and guaranteed gold panning.

We had already scheduled the Riverboat Discovery tour with lunch, so I added this last-minute activity. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We gained significant knowledge about the Gold Dredge and its operations. Our guide was both informative and engaging. At the conclusion, we disembarked the train to try gold panning and tour the actual gold dredge building. If you have a full day available, I highly recommend combining both Gold Dredge 8 and the Riverboat Discovery, and the optional lunch was quite good too.BluMangoKiki
