Arriving late may result in the forfeiture of your reserved seats or the entire booking. To access Whittier, you will go through the Anton Anderson Memorial Tunnel, which is North America’s longest combined rail and vehicle tunnel. This tunnel allows one-way traffic on a specific schedule. The tunnel opens for travel to Whittier thirty minutes past the hour (9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:30 AM). It is recommended to use the 10:30 AM opening for your cruise to allow time to park and check in. Transportation to Whittier, the tunnel toll, and parking fees are not included. After the cruise, the tunnel opens hourly, on the hour, until 11:00 PM. • Witness the stunning scenery of Prince William Sound, including moving glaciers and various wildlife aboard a high-speed catamaran with first-class amenities. A ranger from the Chugach National Forest Service provides narration on the history, geography, glaciers, and wildlife observed during the cruise. The menu features wild Alaska smoked salmon chowder, coleslaw-style salad, a multigrain roll, oyster crackers, a cheese stick, a fruit snack, and a peppermint pattie. Public parking is offered in a paid lot along Whittier Street, near Cliffside Marina. A photo I.D. is necessary at check-in to obtain your boarding cards. All guests should be on board by 11:45 AM. • While in Whittier, Alaska, visitors can stroll the harbor boardwalk, browse local shops and restaurants, visit the Prince William Sound Museum (admission not included), or take a hike on a local trail. When ready to leave Whittier, the tunnel is open on the hour, every hour until 11:00 PM.
