Al Noor Island

Al Noor Island is a 45,000 square metre retreat located in Khalid Lagoon, characterized by its botanical gardens and art installations, including the striking 'Oculus' sculpture designed by Franco-American artist, Khaled Akil. Opened in 2015, the island blends nature and creativity, featuring lush greenery and serene pathways that invite exploration. Plan to spend a leisurely couple of hours wandering through the gardens and enjoying the views of Sharjah's skyline. Early morning or late afternoon are ideal for a visit, as temperatures are milder. The island is connected by a bridge to the mainland, making it easily accessible from the city centre.
