Two hours guided tour at Tenikwa, observing indigenous wild cats and local wildlife in a conservation area.

It was a wonderful experience where we gained a lot of knowledge about wildcats. The facility is part of a non-profit initiative, and the cats are housed in spacious enclosures. It’s a worthwhile project.Jet56964654509 on the Wildlife tour at Tenikwa in Plettenberg Bay tour

Two hours in a private forest reserve with a guided stroll, picnic lunch, and chances to see rare birds and wildlife.

My husband and I opted for the Forest Walk with Picnic and Wildlife Tour, and it exceeded our expectations. Encountering meerkats, birds, tortoises, and various big cats up close was captivating, and our guide, Sandile, was incredibly knowledgeable. The sight of the remarkable cats, especially the white lion, was unforgettable. Following the wildlife experience, Sandile led us on a Forest Walk, where he highlighted different plants and trees, explaining their medicinal properties and how indigenous communities utilized them. He even showed us evidence of the Koi people's presence, such as a rock used for sharpening tools. Sandile's enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication to both the animals and the forest were clear throughout. We highly recommend this tour.upstatenyker on the Guided nature walk with a picnic in Plettenberg Bay tour

A tailored experience focused on photographing wild cats in their natural setting, with personalized attention and ample time to explore Tenikwa's facilities.

Our visit to the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre was undoubtedly one of the most impactful wildlife encounters we've ever experienced. The beautiful natural landscape and the clear dedication to animal welfare immediately impressed us. This experience goes beyond simple observation; it provides an insightful education that fosters a profound connection with South Africa's native wild cats. Tenikwa's efforts in education, rehabilitation, and conservation are truly commendable. Witnessing these incredible animals up close in environments that reflect their natural behaviors was remarkable. We learned a lot about their challenges and the importance of their protection. However, it was our guide, Boniwe, who made our visit truly special. From the start, Boniwe's deep knowledge and genuine passion for the animals were evident. Her storytelling, personal anecdotes, and heartfelt affection for each animal enriched the entire tour, making it feel personal and engaging rather than just a series of facts. Her enthusiasm was infectious, and she skillfully addressed our questions while ensuring we felt involved. Boniwe's talent for spotting even the most elusive cats and sharing intimate details about their personalities and histories allowed us to glimpse into their world. The centre benefits immensely from her warmth, expertise, and strong connection with the wildlife. She is an exceptional representative for both the animals and Tenikwa. After leaving Tenikwa, we gained a richer understanding of these wild cats and left with lasting memories, thanks to Boniwe's excellent guidance. We highly recommend the Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre, and if you're fortunate enough to have Boniwe as your guide, consider yourself very lucky. This experience is essential for anyone who is passionate about wildlife and conservation.CherySebMRU on the Private wildlife photography tour at Tenikwa tour
