An ideal trek suitable for various skill levels. The distance was perfect to build up an appetite for the picnic lunch in the woods. Our guide was well-informed about the forest and surrounding area. We are eager to return.
My wife and I loved this experience so much that we decided to book it again before departing. The forest walk was stunning, and our guide had an impressive knowledge of the local flora and fauna. After that, we enjoyed a lovely authentic South African picnic lunch. The wildlife tour was outstanding; we saw all the resident animals at Tenikwa and learned about their behavior, habits, and backgrounds. I highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I opted for the Forest Walk with Picnic and Wildlife Tour, and it exceeded our expectations. Encountering meerkats, birds, tortoises, and various big cats up close was captivating, and our guide, Sandile, was incredibly knowledgeable. The sight of the remarkable cats, especially the white lion, was unforgettable. Following the wildlife experience, Sandile led us on a Forest Walk, where he highlighted different plants and trees, explaining their medicinal properties and how indigenous communities utilized them. He even showed us evidence of the Koi people's presence, such as a rock used for sharpening tools. Sandile's enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication to both the animals and the forest were clear throughout. We highly recommend this tour.
A wonderful center engaged in meaningful work. We had a great time touring the animals, and our guide was friendly and considerate, allowing us ample time for photos. The picnic lunch was quite enjoyable. However, the forest walk was just okay, and I wouldn't do it again.
Upon our arrival at Tenikwa Wildlife Centre, the friendly staff greeted us warmly, creating a positive start to our experience. The tour guide displayed remarkable knowledge, enthusiasm, and a deep passion for both the animals and the centre's conservation efforts. Each stop offered intriguing insights into the residents and their significant conservation work.
