I've been fly fishing for over 30 years, from Alaska to Argentina, and during a cruise to Belize, I decided to try Saltwater fly fishing. I booked a half-day session with Wayne and was eager for my first experience. Wayne met me at the dock, and we opted to target Bonefish. We headed out to a spot he knew was promising. Once there, Wayne guided me to cast “11 o’clock, 40 feet”….strip….strip….set!! Within seconds, I was hooked on my first Bone. We had several hookups and ended the day with 15 Bonefish. Wayne was professional, knowledgeable, and personable—he truly embodies what a guide should be! I wholeheartedly recommend this outfitter. You’ll enjoy great company, delicious food, stunning scenery, and fantastic fishing. I left with a life-changing experience and a sore arm! I will definitely return; you better believe it.
We had a wonderful half-day fishing trip on the inner reef with Captain Ryan from DK Fishing. His passion for fishing and extensive experience was evident throughout the day. Ryan skillfully guided us to the reef, caught our bait fish, and helped us reel in some great catches. He was not just our guide but became a friend, making the trip even more enjoyable. Thank you, Ryan, for a fantastic experience on the beautiful waters of Belize.
Our snorkeling adventure with DK's Charters was fantastic. Douglas, our guide, brought us to a more secluded spot that most boats don't reach. We encountered a variety of incredible fish and coral. Although cruise ships restrict snorkeling for children until they're 8, our 7-year-old had a blast. Douglas interacted wonderfully with him, helping him enjoy the experience. We would definitely recommend this trip and plan to book again when we return to Placencia.
Our two days with Lincoln were incredible. The first day, just the guys went fishing and had great success! On the second day, we snorkeled, hopped between islands, and fished again, achieving more success. Lincoln was outstanding; he knew the islands and the reef intimately, guiding us to the best locations. We will definitely choose DK again.
Ryan and Chino picked us up right at our Airbnb on the beach, with Chino even helping our family board the boat. They delivered exceptional service throughout the trip, ensuring our kids enjoyed every moment. We caught seven different species of fish, with each of the six family members reeling in multiple catches. Ryan demonstrated impressive knowledge of the waters, making us feel secure as he navigated. Chino's charisma and ability to connect with us and our kids were remarkable, catering to everyone’s social and emotional needs as well as their fishing skills. On the way back, we stopped at a lovely island for drinks and let the kids play at King Lewey’s island, which featured outdoor games, a water slide, big swings, and a restaurant. We not only had fantastic fishing guides but also made new friends. We enjoyed their company so much that we booked another snorkeling tour for the next day. These guys are fantastic—this isn’t merely a fishing trip; it's truly an unforgettable adventure. Every dollar spent was worth it.
