I would not suggest booking with this company for fly fishing or likely any of their tours. We organized a full day fly fishing trip nearly a month before arriving in Placencia, as it was a highlight of our journey, and we were ready to pay a premium. On the trip day, while we were ready for a 7:30 am pickup, we were notified at 7 am that they deemed the weather unsuitable for fishing. It was disappointing but somewhat understandable. However, later that evening, the hotel revealed that the company had success with other clients that day and wanted to arrange a trip for us the next day. This indicated to me that they had overbooked and were using the weather as an excuse. If you want dependable fly fishing guides, I recommend searching for alternatives.

Edlin is an outstanding guide for serious anglers. Having fished with many guides over the years, I can confidently say he stands out. I went on three tours with him, and his ability to locate fish on the reef is remarkable. We caught a variety of species including snappers, groupers, mackerel, and barracudas. He also has a keen sense of when to wrap it up based on the tides. His passion for fishing is evident, and he truly understands what it takes to have an enjoyable day on the water. I’ve already booked him for the next few years. If you’re a fishing enthusiast, don’t hesitate to hire him; you won’t be let down.
I've just returned from another fishing trip with Edlin Leslie, the owner and captain of Placencia Fishing Charters. Over the years, I've participated in fishing tours throughout the Caribbean, but Edlin is my go-to guide in Placencia, which is my preferred fishing destination. I completed five excursions with him, including trips to the inside reef, outside reef, deep sea, and fly-fishing on the flats. Each day, I shared my target fish with Edlin, but I let him decide the specifics, and I never regretted it—I caught some fantastic fighters and always returned with a great haul. Plus, my wife and I enjoyed delicious grilled fish every evening. It was truly an unforgettable experience. I've already booked for next year and cannot wait to return.
