We enjoyed a wonderful day touring four wineries: Nautilus, Allan Scott, Whitehaven, and Jackson. Lunch at the Allan Scott restaurant was tasty, featuring locally sourced ingredients. Our guide, Nic, was charming and shared valuable insights about the region. The group was great; it was an excellent experience overall. I highly recommend Marlborough wine tours.
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Nic, who was both friendly and highly knowledgeable. The wineries we visited—Forrest, No 1, St Claire, and Nautilus—were incredible, and the wines were exceptionally good. As someone who works in a winery in California, I found the New Zealand wines to be surprisingly affordable compared to those in California. The beautiful surroundings made for a fantastic way to spend the afternoon in Marlborough. I highly recommend this experience.

The driver was punctual, amiable, and incredibly knowledgeable. Before we arrived at our first stop, we gained extensive insights about the region, its planting history, and the current vineyards.
We toured four wineries where our guide shared insights into the traditions, soil types, and other factors influencing local wine production. The winemakers focused on maximizing the unique qualities of each year's harvest rather than adhering to a standard flavor. We enjoyed a broad selection of wines, and by the end of the day, we were quite joyful and thankful for the bus transport.
The tour led by Gavin was excellent, and Karen was very accommodating. However, the owner's service was disappointing. Despite booking in advance and requesting pickup from our place, we were informed the night before it wasn't possible. When we asked why we weren't notified earlier, the owner mentioned she was too busy to check emails and referred to our location as "in the boondocks," despite being just a 10-minute drive away. We couldn't cancel in time and ended up paying an extra $NZ60 for a taxi. Gavin and Karen were apologetic, with Karen even offering to help with the cab fare, while the owner showed no concern. It's essential to confirm pickup before booking, as we found other operators willing to accommodate us.
Gavin served as an excellent host and driver throughout our tour. Visiting smaller wineries allowed us to engage with passionate winemakers and taste some of New Zealand's finest wines. It was a fantastic way to enjoy the afternoon safely while having fun. Gavin's knowledge and the wealth of his stories were truly impressive. I highly recommend this experience.
