Reviews
It was enjoyable even with the misty, drizzly weather. The commentary was informative, and the views while cruising around Charlotte Sound were great.
This was an excellent trip. The sea was a bit choppy because of a low in the strait, but the large boat managed the swell well. The captain and deckhand were very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed stunning coastlines and inlets, as well as plenty of birdlife, although it was too rough for wildlife spotting. I would definitely recommend this activity in beautiful Picton.
We thoroughly appreciated exploring the various resorts and villages around the sound. The captain's commentary added valuable insights to the experience.
The boat cruise visits specific docks featuring unique resorts and various wildlife, allowing some passengers to hop on and off. The scenery is stunning. I would definitely recommend this experience.
Bring your own snacks for the trip, as there's a restroom on the boat. It was an amazing experience with knowledgeable guides and stunning scenery, perfect for taking great photos.
We had a delightful three-hour journey that was filled with detailed and informative insights from the captain. We really enjoyed it and would definitely consider doing it again. Excellent experience.
The four-hour tour around the bays was delightful. The commentary was excellent, and the views were stunning. We spotted dolphins and sea lions, making it a great value for the money.
The primary purpose of the boat is to transport people and mail, resulting in a fast and loud journey that deterred wildlife. Sitting outside meant I could hardly hear the Skipper. Although the initial hour was truly picturesque and pleasant, the overall experience left much to be desired. Like others have noted, it doesn't feel like a cruise.
A great way to experience the sound! We explored many inlets, and the water was beautiful. We even made stops to observe wildlife during our journey.
Our mail run boat trip in the Sounds was thoroughly enjoyable. With three of us on board, we appreciated the beautiful scenery over a few relaxing hours. The commentary was straightforward and informative without being too much. The complimentary tea and coffee provided a nice touch that enhanced the overall atmosphere. At about three and a half hours, the duration felt just right. It was a calm and pleasant experience, offering a fantastic way to appreciate the Sounds. Although it comes with a higher price tag, it remains a worthwhile option for those seeking a peaceful exploration of the area.
