What's the itinerary?+
• Nayamakad Waterfall in Munnar offers a serene retreat into nature. The journey through tea plantations adds an element of adventure. As one approaches the waterfall, the sound of flowing water intensifies, and the mist suggests the beauty that lies ahead. • Rajamala Hills, situated in the Idukki district of Kerala and near the popular hill station of Munnar, serves as a tranquil escape from urban life. This often overlooked haven promises a quieter atmosphere compared to typical hill towns. Visitors interested in wildlife may encounter the rare Nilgiri Tahr, a type of mountain goat. Additionally, the Rajamala Wildlife Sanctuary, part of the larger Eravikulam National Park covering 97 square kilometers, is worth exploring. • Lakkam Waterfalls, also referred to as Lakkom Falls, are located at an elevation of 7,300 feet. A unique feature of these waterfalls is that they originate from a plateau rather than a hill, as is common with most waterfalls. Lakkam Waterfalls flow from the Eravikulam Plateau and form a pool below. Surrounded by lush greenery, the falls are framed by numerous Vaga trees and boulders that need to be climbed for closer access. In addition to photography opportunities, the falls are known for boulder hiking and swimming in the pool. • Vaguvari view point offers the best view of tea plantations and an ideal spot for photography. • Visit coffee and tea plantations near Chattamunnar. • This picturesque area is unique in Kerala for its natural sandalwood forests and expansive sugarcane farms, notable for high-quality solid molasses, also known as Jaggery in Malayalam. Marayoor, approximately 40 kilometers from Munnar on the eastern side of the Western Ghats and adjacent to Tamil Nadu, offers the chance to see aromatic sandalwood trees. Visitors can tour the sandalwood factory operated by the Forest Department, with potential sightings of wild deer and other animals in the sanctuary.
