Eravikulam National Park
Munnar, India

Eravikulam National Park is a protected area in the Western Ghats, established in the 1970s to conserve the Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat endemic to the region. The park spans approximately 97 square kilometres and features rolling hills, grasslands, and shola forests, offering breathtaking views of the tea plantations surrounding Munnar.
Plan to spend a few hours exploring the well-marked trails, especially around the Anamudi Peak, the tallest peak in South India. The best time to visit is between November and March when the weather is cooler and the park is lush. Keep an eye out for the various species of butterflies and birds that call this place home.
