I experienced the inaugural tour of City Brew Tours Milwaukee with Ken, and it was outstanding. He picked us up at the Brewhouse Inn & Suites, and we jumped right in! We learned about beer history from prehistoric times to today, along with specific details about Milwaukee's beer scene. We visited Lakefront, Dead Bird, and Gathering Place. At each stop, Ken provided us with generous samples and behind-the-scenes insights into the breweries. He explained the brewing process and shared how each brewery was established. Initially, I was with a group of strangers, but by the end, we felt like old friends. We even went out together afterward! I had an enjoyable experience with a small bachelor party at three breweries: Perspective, Mobcraft, and Broken Bat. We got an in-depth look at the brewing equipment. Our guide was well-informed and selected excellent beers. I'm planning to take a tour in Austin later this year.
Our brewery tour in Milwaukee was fantastic. The guide was friendly and attentive, and the van was spotless and cozy. He shared a lot of interesting information about the brewing process. We sampled four different beers at each of the three breweries and enjoyed an enormous, delicious pretzel with beer cheese and mustard at the second location. It was a delightful evening that we would definitely recommend.
