This tour was fantastic. Nik was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The family-run wineries we visited were just what we hoped for. The lunch restaurant was also excellent and had a wonderful selection of wines.
Our group of five had an excellent day with Nik. As a sommelier, he provided us with in-depth knowledge about wine and shared fascinating insights about the Piedmont region since he’s a local. The two wineries we visited, Giuseppe Cortese and Teresa Soria, showcased the finest qualities of the Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo, and Moscato grapes. A stop at a small cheese maker for lunch added to our enjoyment. The scenery was stunning as well. It was truly a fantastic experience.

The family-owned vineyards we visited were charming and inviting, and the lunch spot offered a lovely atmosphere and suitable vegan options for my dietary needs. Our first private tour experience exceeded expectations. Our guide, Riste, was knowledgeable and very accommodating to my needs. We visited two family-owned vineyards, tasting exquisite wines, including a memorable session in Paolo’s backyard. Lunch in Castiglione Falletto was the best meal of our 12 days in Italy. Riste took us to Barolo at my request, allowing us to explore before our second vineyard visit, which had a more corporate feel. Although the second tasting was informative, it lacked the personal touch of the first. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and we appreciated not having to navigate the tricky roads ourselves. Thank you, Riste, for everything.
We had an excellent day with Pier while touring wineries near Alba. In the morning, we explored a vineyard known for Barbaresco, and in the afternoon, one that specializes in Barolo. The visits were leisurely and filled with valuable information. Pier proved to be an outstanding guide, exceptionally knowledgeable, which made the experience truly enjoyable. He is also helping us arrange to have some wine shipped home. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour.

My friends and I enjoyed a fantastic tour of the Barolo and Barbaresco wine regions in Piemonte on January 6, guided by the warm and easygoing Giovanni from One On The Hill. As an accomplished winemaker himself, Giovanni took us to two wonderful family-run wineries, enhancing our understanding of Piemonte's wine industry while we savored some remarkable wines. Additionally, One On The Hill organized a tasty lunch at L'Argaj in Castiglione Falletto, providing a delightful break between our visits to the Barolo and Barbaresco areas. One photo from that day, titled “We Have a Dream,” captures the dedication of the local winemakers, who prioritize hard work, family values, organic methods, climate resilience, and continuous innovation. Moreover, since we were based in Genova, One On The Hill arranged a convenient driver for us to and from Alba. Overall, it was an unforgettable day that we will always cherish.

We bought wine from both locations, and One On The Hill facilitated shipping back to the U.S., making everything so convenient. Our wine just arrived, and we're enjoying it as we write this!
