This tour surpassed our expectations! We had an enjoyable experience, thanks to our guide Giovanni, who is both knowledgeable about winemaking and great company. We began at "Fratelli Ravello," a winery near La Morra in the Barolo region. Elena Fratelli, who works alongside her family, guided us around the property and conducted an excellent tasting of their signature wines. Giovanni then suggested a lovely restaurant nearby, where we tried local dishes and especially enjoyed the Plin, a small ravioli pasta. Our next visit was to "La Ganghija," owned by Enzo Rapalino in the Barbaresco area. Enzo, who is the first in his family to produce wine, shared his passion for winemaking and details about his innovative approaches. Finally, we visited "Cascina Galarin," a winery run by Giovanni's family that specializes in Barbera D'Asti. Tasting their exceptional wines was a highlight. Overall, this tour was a fantastic experience we will cherish for years. We highly recommend it!
We have been waiting for our pickup for 40 minutes, and no one has arrived. Despite paying around £400 for a wine tour and arriving 30 minutes early, we haven't been able to reach the company since their office is closed on weekends. Now we're left without a tour, which was the highlight of our trip, and likely cannot reschedule today.
Marco is fantastic. The tour was beautiful, filled with incredible details from someone who understands all the nuances. With seven generations in the family, his winery was outstanding. We definitely plan to return.
For those wanting to truly enjoy the food and wine of Piedmont, Meet Piedmont delivers an exceptional experience. Over our 5-day stay, they arranged wine tours, cheese tastings, a cooking class, and handled our hotel and transportation, including airport pickup in Milan. The wine tours were outstanding, particularly the ones in the Langhe region focusing on Barolo and Barbaresco and another centered on Barbera, where the guides were both knowledgeable and accommodating. The cooking class with Fernanda stood out as the highlight of our Italian adventure; she welcomed us into her home and expertly taught us to prepare traditional recipes, culminating in a delightful lunch featuring what we had made. There's an abundance of food and wine activities in Piedmont, but Meet Piedmont simplifies everything. Just share your interests, and they'll provide excellent options. We are grateful for their assistance, which made our visit fulfill all our expectations.
Our experience with Meet Piemonte was outstanding. The guide, a local farmer and winemaker, provided us with a unique and memorable adventure. He first took us to a hilltop for stunning views of the region, then we visited three family-owned wineries, followed by a lunch at a spot with breathtaking scenery. This was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip to Italy, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
This was an outstanding tour. We explored three artisanal wineries that showcased exceptional wines, and the winemakers provided intriguing details about the production process. Giovanni offered great insights into the landscape of this region in Piedmont and clearly explained the distinctions between the areas. He was an excellent tour guide.
Marco was an excellent guide, and his enthusiasm and extensive knowledge truly made this the best part of our visit to Alba. Thank you, Marco, for a wonderful day.
Marco was an outstanding guide, making our diverse group from India, the UK, the USA, and Mexico feel both welcomed and valued. His extensive knowledge of winemaking vividly illuminated the region and its exquisite wines. He provided insights on everything from the leaves and soil to the climate and the entire vinification process, all delivered with warmth and humor. Gaining the winemaker's perspective throughout was a remarkable aspect of our experience. Additionally, Marco went above and beyond for a couple who got engaged during the trip, as well as for others wanting to ship wine home. We felt incredibly fortunate to have him as our guide, who played a significant role in making our experience not only memorable but also beyond our expectations.
The experience with Giovanni was wonderful. We enjoyed excellent wine, gained a lot of knowledge, and received fantastic recommendations throughout the tour.
Giovanni was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable and friendly. We visited fantastic wineries, including his own, and enjoyed tasting a variety of excellent wines. This tour is not to be missed.
