If you are staying at a private vacation rental (such as Airbnb or VRBO) or coming from the South side of the island, please reach out for the closest pickup location, as pickups are not offered from these areas. Failure to provide lodging information will result in a default pickup location at Ma'alaea Park and Ride.

Beyond Kalepa Bridge, it transitions to Hawaii Route 31 (the Piilani Highway) at Kipahulu. This route features 59 single-lane bridges and over 640 turns, winding through dense tropical rainforest, with many concrete and steel bridges dating back to 1910. • Your journey begins with the first stop where you can step out of the van to stretch, take a brief restroom break, and explore a store for photos, souvenirs, or snacks and drinks to prepare for the adventure ahead. • Small Hawaiian communities aim to maintain traditional lifestyles, involving hunting pigs and cultivating taro, breadfruit, and bananas. This area is home to the renowned Half Way to Hana Snack stand, offering shave ice, fresh coconut, cold beverages, and the Original Fresh Baked Banana Bread. The Keanae overlook presents views of one of the largest taro farms in Hawaii. • Relish some of the best Banana Bread available. Take a moment to relax with banana bread and beverages, while also having the chance for a restroom break. On Sundays, if Aunty Sandy's is closed, an alternative location for banana bread will be visited. • Pass through the bamboo forest. • Pass by more scenic spots. • Wai'anapanapa is well-known for its Black Sand Beach. The striking cobalt blue ocean meets black sand and lava rocks formed from a volcanic flow around 10,000 years ago. You may stroll along the shoreline or relax in the shade, with an hour available to appreciate one of the island's most stunning locations. Freshwater caves and lava tubes are available to explore, and during certain seasons, red shrimp may appear, changing the water's color. Local legends, including that of Princess Popoalaea, will be shared by tour guides. • In the center of Hāna, fresh farm-to-table meals feature locally sourced ingredients, including vegetarian and gluten-free options. • The waterfall is easily accessible from this spot.
