We organized an amazing full-day tour for four adults and two children. Mark reached out to us a few days in advance, gladly answering our questions, suggesting items to bring, and coordinating our pick-up from our rental condo. The expedition was quite comfortable, and the large sunroof enhanced our views. Mark arrived early, which we really appreciated. After loading our gear, we set off on our adventure. He took the time to learn about our group, allowing him to personalize our day while sharing fascinating stories about Maui. He consistently checked in with us and remained adaptable to ensure our experience met our expectations. We accomplished everything we desired and even enjoyed activities we hadn’t anticipated: stunning viewpoints, delicious banana bread, exploring a lava tube, swimming at a black sand beach, enjoying a food truck lunch, having a picnic by the ocean, swimming in a waterfall, and watching the sunset while observing surfers and 50 sea turtles getting ready for bed. Mark's understanding of the island, its history, and the local flora and fauna added immense value to our experience, creating memories we'll cherish forever. We didn't just hire a guide and driver; we gained a friend in Maui. My 4-year-old declared he was the best driver ever.

Our family’s favorite day of the vacation was the journey along the Road to Hana with our guide, Mark. This was my second time on the Road to Hana, but the first with our kids. Driving ourselves previously was our favorite Maui experience. After the recent flooding, I wanted a local guide for various reasons: to support a small business and to visit only tourist-friendly spots that respect ongoing recovery efforts. The Bronco was in pristine condition and a pleasure to ride in. Spencer was fantastic with my family. We visited Ho’okipa Beach Park to see sea turtles, Aunt Sandy’s at the Ke'anae Peninsula, Pua'a Kaa State Wayside Park for swimming in waterfalls, Hana Farms for exceptional pizza, and Wai’anapanapa State Park for the black sand beach, among other remarkable stops. The tour ended with the Bronco's top down as we explored the "back side," which, in my opinion, was the highlight of the trip. While I felt confident driving the Road to Hana years ago, the insights from a local guide added depth far beyond self-driving. It allowed for a connection to Hawaiian culture rather than a purely tourist perspective. Spending a full day exploring the sights on the Road to Hana was ideal. Our tour was very comfortable for our 5-year-old, thanks in part to our entertaining and fun guide, Charleston, who kept our son engaged throughout the day. The trip offered beautiful views and various rest stops. Although we encountered some rain, the vehicle was equipped with umbrellas for those brief moments. Charleston was not only friendly and enjoyable to be with, but he was also an experienced driver, navigating the challenging winding roads with ease. His knowledge of agriculture enriched our experience, as he provided insights about the plants and flowers we saw, which was fascinating regarding how they relate to the island's climate. If you want a comprehensive look at Maui's forests, waterfalls, bridges, black sand beaches, cliffs, and breathtaking views, along with treats like coconut and banana bread, this tour is perfect. Request Charleston as your guide for the best experience.

Our outstanding guide, Mak, made the day unforgettable with lessons on Hawaiian history, swimming in enchanting pools near breathtaking waterfalls, and exploring both black and red beaches. We enjoyed a lovely lunch in Hana surrounded by nature, and Mak enriched our experience with insights into the area's history and culture. This has been one of the finest guided tours we've ever experienced, and in my view, it’s the best way to explore the Kings Highway and the Road to Hana in comfort.
