This tour was fantastic. Our guide was interactive and arrived early for pickup. We had ample time planned (very early pickup), which resulted in some waiting before the sunrise. The breakfast was enjoyable, though I would have liked more time to explore Paia.
I would have given this a 5-star rating, but we missed the sunrise. This was not the tour operator's fault; heavy rain the night before and fog at the volcano obscured our view. However, breakfast at Cafe O'lei was excellent, and our guide Bill was well-informed and ensured we arrived early for the best viewing spot. Don't forget to bring warm clothing, as it gets very cold.
The tour was fantastic! Xavier, our guide, was outstanding, and Corey, the driver, was prompt for pick up. The tour itself was very educational. I highly recommend it as a must-see experience.
The trip to Haleakala was truly enjoyable. Having someone else drive was a relief, especially as the sun came up and the winding roads became more challenging. Eddie was an excellent guide—entertaining and always prioritizing safety, which made the experience even better. He even facilitated a fun photo opportunity near the summit that brought smiles to all of us.
Cory, our tour operator, was excellent, and the sunrise was breathtaking. We also made a stop to observe the stars while ascending the mountain, making the early wake-up truly worthwhile.
