“The trip was decent; the boat ride was enjoyable with a small group, allowing us to unexpectedly see turtles in the harbor. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. However, there was little to observe of the sunken city due to the very dirty glass on the boat. Myra was an impressive site, but the 45 minutes we spent there felt insufficient for proper exploration. Additionally, we encountered an unadvertised stop at a tourist trap focused on zultanite, which wasted valuable time during an already packed day. My main frustration was that entry to the church of St. Nicolas wasn't included in the tour price. We were charged an extra €20 each to enter, and although it was mentioned that entry wasn’t covered, the high cost and the fact that the church is fenced off for viewing made the situation feel misleading. Those opting not to enter had to wait outside for an hour with little to do except browse an expensive gift shop. I believe it would have been more beneficial to spend longer at Myra, allowing those interested in the church to depart early while the others enjoyed more time there.
