The Mt. Roberts Tramway, also known as the Goldbelt Tram, is a 2,000-foot aerial tramway that ascends from Juneau to Mt. Roberts, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and the Gastineau Channel. Constructed in 1996, it provides an essential link to hiking trails and the beautiful alpine environment above the city. Plan for an hour or two to take in the scenery, visit the nature center, and enjoy the café at the summit. The tram operates during the summer months, making it a popular spot for cruise ship passengers. The nearby Tongass National Forest offers further exploration opportunities.

Three hours on a jet boat, searching for Humpback Whales and local wildlife, with knowledgeable naturalists on board.

We encountered numerous whales on this tour. Nate was very informative and responded to many of our inquiries. Watching a mother and her calf made the experience even more special. I highly recommend this tour.margaret_j on the Whale watching tour in Juneau, Alaska tour

A combined experience: two-hour whale watching followed by an hour and a half at Mendenhall Glacier Park for hiking and scenic views.

DeeDee and our morning driver, who had long hair and a dark beard, were both friendly and knowledgeable. The whale watch crew, including Lauren, Brock, and M, provided an excellent experience. We spotted a pod of four humpback whales bubble feeding from about 100 yards away, which was incredible. I would certainly recommend this tour.Randall_M on the Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching tour from Juneau tour
